No problem with giving him a try out.
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/stephen-jones-dez-bryant-texted-150028444.html Dez wants to sign a deal with the Cowboys and Stephen is discussing it in the media. The artickle goes on to say that a 1 day deal is far more conceivable.
- Dez has passion.
- Red Zone threat.
- Could be a 600 yd 7 TD receiver.
- Is open to taking on any role.
- Would be great out of the slot.
- A chain mover.
- The man is a real Cowboy, born and breed.
- Dez knew that Garrett sucked.
Dez would be a great bridge in this new offense that creates specific roles for skill players in certain down and distances. MM created schemes in GB to manufacture efficiency on 3rd downs and in the red-zone. I think Dez has been humbled and this is a chance for Dez and the Cowboys to redeem themselves. The Boys took Witten back and they should do the same for Dez. Just give the man an opportunity, he deserves that.
Go Dallas!!!
Some people forget what an inferior player Dez became by the end of his career. They would rather think of Dez as the player he was in his prime. These not so realistic expectations are borderline insane.
You realize Dez had a problem with dropping balls too? What, he ain’t coming in to be #1 so your point is irrelevant. I want a WR that can catch the balls and move chains instead of leading the leagues in drop.

Then it is as I have already diagnosed it to be. That isn't Dez but you'd rather remember him as something that he no longer is.What, he ain’t coming in to be #1 so your point is irrelevant. I want a WR that can catch the balls and move chains instead of leading the leagues in drop.

His route running was another issue. He dropped too many passes too.His issue was supposedly limited route running, which I blame on lack of Scheming ability by clapper Coach Garrett.

Unless he's in tiptop shape and has regained the spring in his step, Dez would be useless on PR's.Injured. Drew Pearson was pointing out how he wasn't running on the balls of his feet toward the end.
A healthy Dez is probably a value signing if he can really accept being more of a utility player. High upside relative to cost. Punt returns. Blocking WR. Red zone.
I like our WRs a lot, assuming we keep them, but we could use a WR who can get more tough YAC near the goal line. That's Dez.
Who was that WR retread who bulked up and revitalized his career with SF? Can't remember. But I'd like seeing Dez do that. I like his talk of being a TE/WR. A Noah Brown who is useful as a WR.

Are you referring to Anquon Boldin?Injured. Drew Pearson was pointing out how he wasn't running on the balls of his feet toward the end.

Dez's locker room cancer is something that won't heal and won't go away. Stop making excuses for this turd.Injured. Drew Pearson was pointing out how he wasn't running on the balls of his feet toward the end.
