He's got no clueMost? Be careful with that. I respect your experience, but most? I don't think so.
That doesn't answer my question. How is it funny? But I digress. Dak has been paid a pittance of what a QB of his caliber should be paid. The Cowboys have really taken advantage of him. Some people might find it funny, some won't, but it's still just meant as a joke. People make bad jokes all the time.
Do you think the homeless in a soup kitchen really care about Dak's motives??
Ever been homeless and hungry?
They probably had no clue who Dak was but the soup and shelter was great be it Dak or practice squad player...
Forget the motives.. showing UP to these events is what counts
Apology accepted wholeheartedly.I apologise for insulting you. Definitely not my intention or style of insulting...I am more 4 letter words
You are wrong on every point...the market has changed significantly.
First, with the 2011 NFL CBA expiring at end of 2020 season, it's naive to say the market value hasn't changed much. Every NFL player Agent understands consequences of not reading the business landscape.
Secondly, Mahomes Superbowl has significantly changed the top end $$ per season. Which logically raises the value of all starting caliber QBs.
Thirdly, every Franchise QB needs talented players around them, you act like Mahomes had Tavon Austin and Blake Jarwin out there...it was Kelce and Hill in reality. They also need great coaching....
It is open season on Dak haters.. I concur.
Their arguments and opinions are flawed.
I don't see how. It's his rookie contract. Yes, he played above that pay grade, but if he hadn't, he wouldn't be looking at the payday he's looking at now, whatever that might be. There's no reason to pity the man, especially when you throw in his endorsement deals, which he gets mostly for being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. That doesn't answer my question. How is it funny? Actually it really the opposite for majority of posters, Dak appears to be a good young man, the character isn't the question the talent is, being a nice guy doesn't mean squat on the football field.People do it here, like, every day?
People did the same thing to Romo, and other high-profile Cowboys players in the malaise era (1997-present). Implying that because they didn't win championships they had some kind of bad character or something.
So you are saying Dak and Cambell's are taking advantage of the down on their luck for monetary gain, when looked at in that light it is shameless, If I see a commercial of this it's even worse. Not bashing Dak, but is everyone seriously lacking the common sense to put two and two together. He serves food to homeless people and Campbell’s donates 100,000 cans of soup? This was nothing more than a Campbell’s commercial starring one of their spokesmen packaged as a news story. Don’t be surprised to see footage in a future soup commercial. Again, not bashing Dak but he didn’t get up one morning and decide to go volunteer at a homeless shelter. This was obviously a carefully orchestrated event to get good PR for Dak and Campbell’s. Seriously, none of you can see that instantly?
I'm just going to have to agree to disagree with you here because that's just what civilized adults do when they can't agree on a topic. It doesn't sound like you have any interest what so ever that Dak gets fairly compensated. The days of his services being cheap are over. Deal or not, Dak will make more money in 2020 than he has made on salary with the Cowboys the past 4 seasons combined. He's earned every penny. As for his endorsements, I don't recall Romo, while the Cowboys QB, getting the endorsement deals that Dak has now. Since Romo's retirement is a different matter.I don't see how. I hope you don't think I'm saying Dak doesn't deserve to make a vast amount more than he has been. Of course he does. I don't think he's earned the top QB paycheck, but I'd be good with 33-35 mil, and if he exceeds expectations, I think he should get more in a couple of years.I'm just going to have to agree to disagree with you here because that's just what civilized adults do when they can't agree on a topic. I agree it's never a bad thing to help folks down on their luck , could happen to anyone, I was being a bit sarcastic my bad, but the commercial and display value kinda sicken me.No, I wasn’t really saying that although one could come to that conclusion. Even so, it’s not a bad thing they did. My point was simply he didn’t just go volunteer to feed homeless people because he wanted to. He got together with Campbell’s soup and they basically made a commercial disguised as a news story and no one here seemed to figure that out.
This post proves there is more than one type of mental illness. Most homeless need a beat down, I know,. there around me all day long. Worst people on the planet. They don't want to work, none of them. Pure scum that will not think twice about dooshing u. If I had a way to eliminate them I wouldn't think twice about it. Come with me for a day band u will see the worst on the planet
Most? Be careful with that. I respect your experience, but most? I don't think so.
Are you homeless? This post proves there is more than one type of mental illness.
I'm glad you have clarified your position because when I saw you say "there is no reason to pity the man" I thought you were saying he doesn't deserve a pay raise. I can agree with the salary window that you have suggested is appropriate for his services. I expect his new contract to only be a three year deal so he can get an even bigger one in 2023.I hope you don't think I'm saying Dak doesn't deserve to make a vast amount more than he has been. Of course he does. I don't think he's earned the top QB paycheck, but I'd be good with 33-35 mil, and if he exceeds expectations, I think he should get more in a couple of years.
Are you human?Are you homeless?
Why do you guys say stupid stuff like this? Who the hell cares where he helps? Why don't you go out there and help?Hope he stays there, maybe he can become a Dolphin, What a look for a guy who wants the $$$$ and be the Cowboy, guess Dallas has no one that could use a little help.
