I think the XFL is on to something; they could be real competition for the NFL if the do it right.
I don't like the 1, 2 and 3 point conversion lines after a touchdown because I think it's just as easy to convert for a 3 pointer as it would be for a 1 or 2, but that can be worked out in time.
I like the physical play of the XFL better than the watered down NFL.

I agree on the conversions. One point should be set up to be a lot easier.

We should expect the quality to be subpar to the NFL because these players simply aren’t as good.

I liken it to watching MLS - watch the Premier league and you’ll see a much better product.

Can't wait for 2k to release XFL2k21. EA will lose 50% of their Madden sales overnight.
They'd be smart to buy the XFL rights and just add those teams to the game, like a separate league with separate rules and play feel in one game.

Why? There is a whole free agency period and draft where they could get better.

There might be a handful of players tops that will play in this league this year who will even get an invite to a training camp.
Agree.

One of the AAF stars didn't even make the Cowboys practice squad, IIRC.

It's likely the same group of players that were in that league.

It is nice to watch football instead of an onslaught of commercials and flags.

They already have the WWE liscense. Transition to XFL should be natural. Make it happen Vince.

This is pretty entertaining. It's weird, and refreshing, for me not to care about which team wins watching football.
Lol. Unless the Philly team was playing. Then it's on baby for the opposing team.

Why don't the NFL switch the 2-pt attempt to 4-pt attempt.

Or

Give the team the choice to go for 6-pt attempt if they choose to try from the15-yard line?

I think this adds excitement to games and maybe increases the possibility of a comeback

The coaching and skill level of the players is quite good. Much better than the original XFL but not as good as the old USFL back in the eighties. I would say its like watching a major college team in the top 10-20 range. Clemson, LSU, Ohio state and a few others would pound these guys. Like i say,...10-20 range or so. So all in all,....not that bad .

As expected for any start up league, but given time they could develop legitimate talent. How much better can some of those fringe NFL players become if they have the spring to face actual competition vs just working out in the off season.

In a perfect world...Tom Brady would have been drafted number one overall; Warren Moon and Kurt Warner would have been day one starters in the NFL, after declaring.

You never know.....that's why.

Less talented players aside, there's other aspects of this product to be excited about. Like the reemergence of tackle football, and my guess is these teams are heads and shoulders better than most college teams but none of you naysayers have any problem tuning into watch that.
