I'm curious, had San Fran beaten Green Bay, and the 1995 NFC title game had been Niners-Cowboys yet again, at Texas Stadium, how that would have gone. The Niners, despite being the lower seed, had walloped Dallas earlier that year.

I remember that walloping cause I was there. I was 11 years old and had to sit next to a rabid adult 9er fan who talked **** to me the entire time Dallas was getting a hole stomped in them.

Yep. That was when the AFC was being served up for the NFC team to beat down with ease.

That was quite a few years of dominance by the NFC. The trend is going the AFC's way lately, for the most part. I believe it's even now in terms of wins by each - 27.

I think the Bronocs were the only AFC team to win in the whole 90s decade. Back to back in 1997 and 1998. NFC won the other 8 matchups.

No one knows. Dallas handled up on the Giants twice in 2007 and then lose to them at home as a 1 seed in the divisional round.

What about the stealers from the 70's? I think those teams would have beaten them too.

I think the 92 team would beat any of the 70s Steelers teams - of which, I think the 78 team was their best. The 74-75 teams probably were stronger defensively, but Pittsburgh peaked offensively in 78-79. I think the 77 Cowboys team was better than the 78 team that lost by four points to the Steelers. And I think the 92 teams was the best Cowboys team ever. That team had everything, including swagger. The 92 team would have force fed Emmitt down Pittsburgh's throat.

I'd have loved to see the 94 team (before EW's car crash) vs the 75 Steelers. Larry Allen vs Joe Greene and Erik Williams vs L.C. Greenwood. I think Williams would have destroyed Greenwood. Allen was a rookie but he could have matched up vs. Greene without needing help from the center.

I don't think Swann and Stallworth would own the 92 corners the way they did Benny Barnes and Aaron Kyle in SB XIII.

For my $0.02, the 92 Cowboys are one of the three most dominating teams of the SB era (85 Bears and 89 49ers). The 91 Commanders were also a great team that is often under appreciated.
