Well the Dak fan boys love Daks passing yards so they should love Rivers too since he finished 4th in passing behind 1. Jameis, 2. Dak, 3. Goff, 4. Rivers. Elite production...

Rivers also tossed 7 fewer TD passes than Dak. He had 20 INT’s and had a passer rating of 88.5. Rivers went through a stretch of 7 straight games where he tossed an INT. The Chargers were thinking about benching him.

this reminds me of the semantics of when Garret was "fired" Was he fired or just not re-signed? Same here if his contract ran out and they don't want to sign Rivers again is it really being released?
doesnt matter, why am I wasting time asking :)

Not good enough for starter money anymore.
Not sure if he would want to be a back up, He already moved his family to Florida, nor sure if he would want to move again, try to get on in a team in Florida or retire.
geez Im in Florida and I would love to live in San Diego instead. If I had his millions it wouldnt be a question. He must have family in FLA

Yea, but imagine what he would do if he had a real coach with a real scheme.

Rivers may end up in the Hall of Fame with the numbers he put up, he had a great career in San Diego with the scheme he was in. He’s clearly in decline and is pushing 39. He was released for a reason. Not interested!

Is he really in the decline though?

It's not really fair to judge Rivers unless he has a real OL, real RB, real WR, real defense and a real coach now is it?

He should retire, but he's got 19 mouths to feed.
