I can't help but notice that you're unfamiliar with Russell's Theory of Types.
https://www.planetmath.org/RussellsTheoryOfTypes

Criticizing someone for talking about something and criticizing people generally for criticizing others for what they're talking about are criticisms at different orders of abstraction. Failing to distinguish between different levels of abstraction is figuratively and literally sophomoric, as in college sophomores still think it's a clever move but most people grow out of it.
I wouldn't say most people grow out of it...
Many, but not most.
Maybe there's a chart that know's everything about everybody and we can see definitively!

I've read enough of your posts to find that one out of character, so I thought it would be better to make sure you understood that I wasn't putting you down, rather than escalating. It's all good, brother.
Thank goodness you haven't read enough of my work yet...

Not to defend Garrett, but please keep in mind that he didn’t have any sort of real autonomy regarding the makeup of the roster during his tenure.

JG had input, for sure, but if Jerry chose to roll the dice on a “problem child” (McClain, Hardy, Irving, Gregory, etc), Garrett had to accept it and deal with the consequences.

Personnel decisions were made by committee based on a selected, researched number of players. If there was a tie or dead lock then Jerry would make the final decision. You are not exactly rolling the dice. It is a decision tree making process common not only in sports but in conventional business across the globe. It is also applied in new market sector evaluation, product and service development, etc..

It's Jerry and his kids. I promise you we have been beatdown with 30+ years of the Jones family that everyone feels pessimistic about. He's the common denominator in the franchise.
That's like hating a guy because you don't like his dad.

TURN THE PAGE FOLKS

The Cowboys have made six head coaching changes since their last conference title game.

Dave Campo's first year as head coach was also Belichick's first year as the Patriots head coach.

Seems to me we've turned the page several times. The problem is we're still reading the same book.

Problem is, we have the same regime. The Jone$ are still running the Cowboys.

I read through post after post since we made the change at HC and it is still as if JG is coming back. I, like you, still have this awful taste in my mouth from his stench. Thirteen years is a long time as a fan to suffer with the same message and boring conservative play. I think we’ve grown so accustomed to it that a lot of our post reflect that he and Marinelli are back.

But guess what? He’s the Gents problem now. Now whether you like the Mike hire and 19 other hires is still up for debate, but this team shouldn’t look anything like what we’ve been seeing. So when you think about the draft. You think about Dak, Zeke, Gallup, and Free Agency picture it with a whole new staff finally coaching them. Same with the defense and ST’s.

I can’t wait to see what this looks like, it’s been far too long.
Kinda funny at this point all the changes add up to what, most likely more of the same. Before MM since 2000
Head coaches = 4
OC = 7
DC = 6
Now it's 5, 7 and 6 with 1 constant Jerry the meddler Jones, I believe MM sold his soul to Jones for this position and that is why the OC is still KM and it's going to be more of the Linehan offense maybe dumbed down more for Dak (because he is here to stay Jerry says so). I am hopeful but if Jerry even killed off Parcells enthusiasm I do not expect much to change. Jerry pulls the strings believe what you want , the problem is that any accolade about anything Dallas related and any credit has to go too Jerry and no one else. All the money top spent on the offense with more to come with a mid level defense so Jerry brings in a offensive guru (so some say) who says he not going change much , another Jerry master stroke, genius at work. I hope I read it wrong but not holding my breath.
