Quick QB/WR fix

Several easy steps to deal with the QB and WR positions:

1. Non-Exclusive tag Dak Prescott and arrange a trade with New England. The Patriots need a QB to replace Tom Brady and Dallas gets their next (2) 1st round draft picks (pick #23 this year and next year's pick).

2. Sign ex Patriots QB Tom Brady to a 2-year contract (which ultimately will be a 1-year contract)

3. In the 2020 NFL draft Dallas selects WR Henry Ruggs III to start outside with Michael Gallup. Re-sign Randall Cobb to play the slot. Allow Amari Cooper to go sign elsewhere. With the #23 pick obtained from the Patriots Dallas takes Utah State QB Jordan Love and allow him to learn under Tom Brady for a year before he takes over the starting role in 2021.

Dallas saves cap room by getting rid of Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper and replacing them with cheaper options. They can then re-sign CB Byron Jones as they need him back.

Side by side stats Dak vs. Brady 2018-2019 (you can easily argue that Dak had the better weapons and o-line):

Dak

32 games 1,122 attempts 744 completions 66.3% comp. 8,787 yards 52 TD's 19 Int's 79 sacks 98.3 QBR

Brady

32 games 1,183 attempts 748 completions 63.2% comp. 8,412 yards 53 TD's 19 Int's 48 sacks 92.85 QBR

Sounds good in theory, but it will not happen.
Why would NE do that when they can pick Love at QB with the 23rd pick. Save their own cap dollars, and keep their other picks as well. So they suffer for a year or 2 while the QB learns.

your post didn't make sense at all,...Regarding:
#1- you are playing madden or fantasy football to think NE would give up two first round picks.....why would NE give up two first round picks and pay him a ton of Money that he is asking? if you think he sucks, wouldn't they know it too?, specially Bilicheck. if he is good and franchise type QB then why let him walk for draft picks that will be low in the draft. that would put us back in square one looking for our franchise QB with no gaurantees. a position everyone is willing to over pay for and is so desperately trying to fill

2- why sign Brady? suffice it to say, IMO we are not going to win superbowl next year (2020) with brady, new system for us, new system for brady, new coaches, it just ain't happening. so will we win the superbowl in 2021? its a huge risk....

3- so you want to sign Brady, trying to pull a fast one on him and make him a back in 2021 because you think Love is available to us to draft? how can you guarantee Love is available or is the right QB? the full draft analysis hasn't even begun and you are already designating Love as the next franchise QB and making Brady the back up....what if Love sucks, what if he is not a franchise type QB..is Brady willing to be a back up!!? seriously...!!!!

by the same token you expect a rookie to become a starter and have similar impact to a veteran like cooper? if that is he would be available when we draft!!

this was a Madden type trade that you can make happen in your system, but reality says this just ain't realistic at all..

You lost me on the first point. That will never happen unless perhaps Belichick departs NE.

The main problem is #1. Do you think the patriots were as successful as they were over the last two decades because they acted like clueless fools?

Tom Brady will be 43 years old.

And if he's so much better, why wouldn't NE just sign him.........this logic just makes 0 sense from everyone saying it.

Patriots have publicly offered 30 million so there is that.

My opinion.. You have 2 big ego's... Belichick and Brady.. I think both would like to prove themselves without the other.

I think Tom's 3 best spots to go to a Superbowl are Dallas, San Fran, and Tennessee..

He needs to stay out of the AFC West.. His only hope is Mahomes contract destroys the Chiefs.

I think Tenn. would be his best place, followed by Indy (they have 91 million cap space), Chargers (defense already in place), then Dallas. he is not going to SF, since grapolo already has a large contract he received and can't have two 20+M QB on your team....I would say dallas is a distant 5th.....he wants rings. coming to dallas won't get him close to a ring for the next two years.
