That's based on what quarterbacks have around them. Kyler Murray had an excellent season given the state of the Cardinals' offensive line. I personally prefer Josh Allen over Dak Prescott as well, I think he's underrated and will improve again next season once the Bills actually give him some sort of weapon to throw the ball to.

Sam Darnold is still open to any amount of improvement once he has a chance with the offensive line in front of him being improved and his best weapon, Chris Herndon back available.

Jimmy Garoppolo/Jared Goff/Dak Prescott/Kirk Cousins/Derek Carr are all of a very similar level for me in mid pack.

I do not really understand the hatred towards Wentz and people claiming that he's injured all of the time?

He has missed 8 regular season games over four years including tearing his ACL. Brady tore his ACL early on in his career. Anyone blaming Wentz for coming out of the play off game versus Seattle is quite frankly brainless. If people do not rate him that highly then fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinion but to criticise any player for suffering a concussion...come on.

Those criticising Matt Ryan being in the top ten - his stats are far superior to Prescott even though he has had an average offensive line at times.

I wouldn't as I thought Carson had a great season last year with some of the worst luck of receivers you could ever have. His injuries are a big concern though. But 27 and 7 for 4000 yards throwing to the likes of Agahlor, Ward, and Arcega-Whiteside is pretty good.

If you factor in price and cap hit Dak would rank dead last if he gets what he wants.

At this point Mahommes is a clear #1.

Throw Dak somewhere in the top 10 with all the rest. Not much difference between them.

I would normally place Wilson above the others, but his delay of game penalty against San Francisco likely cost them home field advantage and a probable Super Bowl appearance. That kind of mistake can never happen.

Yeah, Dak doesn't play well in Minnesota. Maybe being on fire is how Stafford got hurt. I wouldn't drop Wentz because I wouldn't pick him up in the first place.

With Rodgers and Brady, it depends on how much gas they have in the tank, and my guess is, not much. I wouldn't say that they are better than Dak at this point in their career.

Wentz, Cousins, Stafford, Murray, Ryan - they are Dak's equal at worst, and I think Dak is better than several of them.

You could rank Dak anywhere from 6 to 10 and not hear an argument from me. He is clearly not in the top 5, but if you start saying he's worse than guys like Jared Goff and Jimmy Garappolo, we're going to have words.

I hate to call Army vets stupid but alas here we are.
LOTS of good QBs have gone 8-8 or WORSE.

Having the worst Special Teams in football and a porous defense matters.

If you care about wins then 40-24 is his record which is the 3rd most wins in the NFL since he was drafted behind only Brady and Russ. Since I'm going to guess you don't rate him 3rd best perhaps shut up about wins being the end all be all stat.

Dak was a top 8 QB last year and has been a top 10 QB on average since he was drafted.

Watson is definitely not a better QB. He is a walking sack. He also ranks behind Dak is essentially every advanced QB metric.

Lamar had a single better season. But he still ranked WELL behind Dak in "on target %" and "bad throw %". Things that are receiver/offense agnostic.

Mahomes and Wilson are CLEARLY better.
Rodgers and Brady have BEEN better but weren't last year.
Brees is better when healthy.
Lamar looks like he might be better but has one plus season to his credit.


Then yes a lot of guys can be in that "area" but are not demonstrably better by any means.

For the most part guys in Dak's area are not as accurate, durable or successful over this past 4 seasons. Some have had higher peaks or simply held in higher esteem because they were drafted higher.
This time last year goofballs were selling us Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold as better.

you have to take into account several factors...in fact he was good and had good games against some good competition this year...but coaching decisions....meaning in game coaching decisions cost us a few of them....yes, he did have some bad games too like the last game against Philly.... but that's probably a garrett achilles heel since he tends to lay an egg against philly, in the last game when everything is on the line. it wasn't his first time
