Rivers is still a blue chip QB.

Any real football person knows that he is worth a legit consideration.

He’s never had a real coach. He would in McCarthy.
Never heard of you......where did you come from with 35,000 posts?

A lot of times when I see threads with dumb topics I'll look and it'll be from posters that I've never heard of.

Don't agree with any of this statement. 1. Rivers isn't terrible. 2. With the offensive line talent we completely dwarf theres. 3. With saying all that Dak is still the clear choice.
Even in Rivers prime he couldn't get it done and he has had hall of fame players on offense..... multiple guys.

I think Rivers is probably finally over the hill. He actually WAS Eli-like this year. Just awful as far has ints go.

Career-wise....It's not even remotely close. He's always thrown way less ints than Eli, and usually more TDs as well to go with a way higher QB rating.
His TD-int differential is nearly 100 better over the same number of seasons! Just so much better than Eli in that regard.
I think maybe you were exaggerating to make a point?
So in your first 3 sentences you talk about how awful Rivers was in picks and even said he was Eli like but then go on to say I'm exaggerating......... Rivers is terrible and isn't even close to being an upgrade to Dak. Anybody saying they want Rivers over Dak at this point in their careers has an agenda against Dak. Rivers is a failure and I wouldn't pay him as a backup

Brees just wears out late in the season. This and last year he looked "old" by the time the playoffs rolled around.

Sadly, I think his window is closed for another ring.

I remember reading a forum post by someone, I think it was on here, who had a shoulder surgery similar to what Brees had. Said it bothered him when he woke up in the morning every day, and it still hurt for him to throw a football around the yard with his kids. Brees is 41 years old, with a lot more miles on his arm than your average football-fan dad and a lot more hits taken to it as well. It's not crazy to think that his arm may be done.

What the Saints should do IMO - no BS - is treat Brees like the Spurs used to do with Tim Duncan. Have him sit the first 3/4ths of the season while Bridgewater plays, start Brees in December to get him tuned up, then ride his fresh arm as far into the playoffs as it will take you. It sounds like a total casual-fan post but I think that's the one way the Saints can still win a title.

And Cowboys Zone wants the Cowboys to bring in Brady who is older and not as good.

Hey, if you meant last year. I agree.
I was referring to the two players over the course of their careers.

I'm already on record saying I think Rivers is probably toast. He did not look like the same guy last year to me and I saw several of his games. Maybe he makes a short come-back, but I wouldn't be willing to take that chance based on what I saw recently.

I have so much respect for Brady but this would be the ultimate Snyder move.. He's going to be 43 and will fall from a cliff.. meaning there will be a precipitous drop at some point from the QB you think he is. The man is brilliant but father time is undefeated. Check his stats. The ultimate embarrassment would be to struggle 8-8-- 9-7 with a HOF yet washed QB... No Garrett to cry about now? I'd rather watch Dak ASCEND and grow with great coaching. If you don't think Dak is progressing you either aren't paying attention or can't see it through lenses of hate/agenda.

...and it’s not even close.

Phillip Rivers. I want him to get one.
Might as well do it with us.
He needs to get one because he is an elite from that draft class.

sure if you want to DOWNgrade our Qb to one who is terrible....otherwise sounds good
