That's not entirely accurate. He didn't play a lot but he had good plays with his limited time on the field. He did not play a lot. A rotational guy. Bad attitude. Yet he became the Dallas second round pick.
If they don't sign Cooper, it was a disaster.
This is incredibly wrong.
Dak could have a $45m cap hit this year and they could still afford Amari, Byron, QUinn and Collins lmao.
And that's how and why they're stuck giving he and his agent whatever they want.
Deal should have been done when the trade was done.
that was an all time bad one..2009
McGovern will probably start in 2020, and should be a plus starter.
that was an all time bad one..
I think McGovern will end up being a nice player for us. Pollard is a good change of pace back. Other than that?
Hill will be an anchor for years to come. The last giant middle finger from Marinelli to Cowboys fans.
I never really hate any player or coach but I am close to hating Marinelli. He's screwed more than a draft or two due to his stubbornness.
We had no first round pick and picked a player in the second round who wasn’t even a starter in college. No surprise he wasn’t good enough to suit up last season. Had we drafted Hill after the fourth round he probably wouldn’t have made the team. He did nothing in training camp or preseason to make the team. His second round draft position is why he made the team.
Yea, wasn't a fan of the pick. Just believe it can't be put solely on Jerry for that pick.
His coordinator fell in love with the guy and Jerry didn't over rule him and run the draft like it was Madden.
Our last 3 drafts have been weak. That’s going to cost us, if it hasn’t already (see last year).
Exactly. People have to remember that Amari Cooper was also part of the 2019 draft. You are right about re-signing him though - no Super Bowl and no extended contract would make it a bad use of a 1st round draft pick. This means nothing to me. The Cowboys were coming off a 10-6 season where they won the division and won 7 of their last 8 games. They team looked set to do big things in 2019. What was their position of need? The drafted Hill at DT and perhaps that was a disappointment. but we knew he was a project. The Cowboys were drafting for depth. I still think Hill will be a decent 2nd round pick in a year or two.
But I will say this, if they can;t work something reasonable out with Cooper, and he leaves, then the 2019 draft will be a disaster.
Was Trysten Hill actually considered a great talent? I never watch college ball, only the NFL... so I have no idea.
Was he great at the college level?
