Of course but one QB plays on a team with among the best and highest paid players all over the field and the other has a talent deficient roster.

But if the statement here is that win/loss records are more indicative of a team - then regardless of the cost of players isn't that more indicative that the Cowboys roster isn't as good as it seems on paper?

Romo hadnt played like a top QB when he got his first deal either.
Romo wasn't gifted with an offense loaded with talent.

Just because you don't feel Romo played like a top QB doesn't mean they should over pay Dak.

You’re trading a .500 QB for a losing quarterback, and that’s your upgrade?
You're ignoring that special cosmetic trait he has that Dak doesn't.

Realistically, Stafford has already been worse than Dak in half their overlapping 4 seasons. He's also less of a winner, but we already know winning isn't a priority for the people who just want Dak to be replaced. And now that he's getting old, he's gonna start being injury prone and physically breaking down. Don't you wanna get in on the ground floor for that?

:lmao:

Our fanbase is the worst.

Lol no? Terrell Owens and Prime Witten were scrubs you’re right. So were Davis Gurode and adams. You Romo praisers never cease to amaze. I loved Romo but some of you act like he won us 3 Super Bowls when in reality Dak has half of his playoff wins in a quarter of the time because Romo couldn’t deliver consistently in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.

the cosmetic trait that makes people ignore the talent of Pat Mahomes? Or do you mean the cosmetic trait that prevented voters from giving Lamar the MVP?

Not true. They won the NFL Championship several times in the 1950's.

Correct, since the Super Era, one playoff win. Does anyone really care about championships in the 50's??

That’s the same excuse the Romo lovers used for why he didn’t win a championship. For 7 years Stafford was throwing to one of the greatest wide receivers of all time Calvin Johnson. Dak has a career winning record and Stafford doesn’t. Dak has a playoff win and Stafford doesn’t. Dak ranks 4th in career passer rating and one of the latest polls has his odds at #5 of winning league MVP next season.

And it appears that its the same excuse Dak is getting from you. One playoff win. Fortunately, Dak won't have Garrett in his way like Romo did....

Romo is 17th on the all-time list of 4th quarter come from behind victories. Most of the players ahead of him played in many more games. He made some mistakes, yeah, but so do most QB's.

You named 5 people, three of which were offensive lineman blocking for that amazing RB...Julius Jones.

Put Romo on this team and we make the Super Bowl. No doubt in my mind. I wish he was like Witten and sucked at announcing and would make a comeback. McCarthy would probably make him the starter.

I doubt Romo would stay healthy enough to win a SB with this current team. I'm a Romo fan. He probably still has the talent, but his health is/was a big concern. He was at the point that injuries were going to keep happening. His last true season was 2014. He had a great year, but even then didn't stay on the field all 16 games. Missing time that year probably cost Dallas homefield advantage. Injuries cost him most of the 2015 and 2016 seasons. I don't think those injury concerns would have gone away had he played(with Dallas or any other team) in 2017, 2018 or 2019 while in his late 30s. His body was beat up. I think he knew it, too.

You just proved that you hate Dak based on your love for Romo. And for the record. Dak has the second most 4th quarter comebacks in the last 4 years. Only second to Brady.

What excuse is that exactly?

The last back injury was not just a regular hit. He had a large lineman fall on him in a seated position. That's a freak thing and would injure most people. Not to say he wouldn't have gotten injured because that can happen any single play, just that it's not like he was taking normal hits and his bones were breaking.

I don't hate Dak. I hate that Dak is asking to be paid like a Top QB despite performing like an average QB. He seems like a nice guy and I hope the best for him. If he sticks with his current demands I hope the best for him on another team. Simple as that.

I've seen 3 QBs get hit like Romo did since Romo's injury. Case Keenum was hit like that in a game in London against the Giants when he was playing for the Rams and FSU hit Chad Kelly when he played for Ole Miss. Both of these hits occurred in 2016, the same year Romo was hurt.. LVE hit Mariota like that when we played the Titans in a MNF game in 2018. All 3 QBs popped up immediately.

Highest 4th quarter qb rating for every single year he played. So, couldnt delivery consistently is hogwash. If tony didnt, as #1, then no one ever did.
