A little off topic but towards your point..It's actually pretty crazy but there are a lot of people that can sit at a table with 10 people for an hour. Once that hour is over you could ask all 10 of them these 2 simple questions..

1) Who was the most uncomfortable
2) Who was the most bored

I bet at that table 1 MAYBE 2 people would know the answers. The crazy part...the other 8 or 9 people would be shocked that those 1 or 2 people were spot on on their answers. A lot of people in this world are so self absorbed in their own thoughts and actions that what is happening around them is the last thing on their mind. I am not very talented at anything in this world, but I will brag till my death that I can read people very well through actions and responses and how they are even sitting. It's actually a curse because anywhere I go I'm always worried about the person who isn't having a good time so I try harder to make them have fun ( even if I don't know them well ).

What my point is boiling down to is I agree 100% with what you are saying about reading his actions. He thinks he is worth a lot more then he is. I don't know if it's 40 million but he is a lot higher on himself then he should be.
I hate what I'm seeing....we have an entirely new coaching staff a a LOT to do this off season and we have greedy diva at QB who is supposed to be a leader slowing things down until we know the cap space we'll have and what we need to do at QB.

Brady didn't get 6 rings with this type of greedy mentality.........Tom Brady he isn't.

Hell, I hope he is worth 40 mil, then we can slap the tag on him and trade him for two 1's. If we think he's worth elite money, the rest of the league should too. Right? Right?

Lets be honest, Brady got more "team friendly" because he is currently married to someone who makes far more money then he could playing football which makes the money you get playing football largely immaterial. It also helps that he gets some lets just say creative deals for his outside businesses with the Pats.

To be fair. I’ve never once seen a quote from Dak that said he expects 40.

not once.

In this video. It appeared that he was just doing his best to deflect the question without directly answering it.
True, but why grant the interview? He knows what's coming. It's the only reason for interviewing him.

Lol, I've heard that weak excuse before.......so without her huge income he couldn't have lived on his 20M or so per year......some of you guys listen to the blowhard media too much.

You can't sell me on players needing to take less than they are worth when I know what the owners make. He is literally taking years off his life by playing, if he wants what he is worth, then I won't fight him on it.

Good.....then support him nobody's saying not to.

Posters like you are the first to whine and cry when it turns into another bad contract.

I'm really not so that's a little presumptuous.

Some contracts work out and some don't. That is the nature of the game. However every player is well within their rights to want everything they can on their one big payday opportunity (for QBs its usually 2 and sometimes 3).

Yep, and greed and disloyalty to the team puts it in the express lane.

To be fair. Let’s remember that Dak played the entire season last year for peanuts.

never held out. Never made an issue, never complained. He helped the team tremendously with last years cap and future cap by playing an additional season for basically nothing and saving the cowboys a solid 20+ million in cap space which could be pushed to future seasons by playing for way less than his market value.

we also don’t know for sure what his contract stance is and what his team is ultimately asking for.

calling him selfish and disloyal just doesn’t make sense at this point. He helped the team dramatically both last season and in the future by giving them one more season of cheap QB play and freeing up cap space which is carried into future seasons.

And even though there is posturing right now. He has never missed a practice or team activity due to contract issues. Up to this point.

Dak will for sure be the highest paid QB in franchise history.

If he doesn’t live up to it— he will easily become the most hated QB in franchise history.

Hate that we may pay elite money to a good (but not elite) QB— weaken the team— miss out on adding other quality players bc of cap constraints— and wind up right back here in 5 years.... still needing a great QB.

Dak Prescott makes more money from Chunky Soup then most QB's do their whole lives. Dak was blessed to get drafted by the biggest sports brand in the entire world.

I don't know, Kellen Moore has a pretty sweet gig.

And yet you're the sheep that believes in the "contract year" fallacy or that everyone who gets paid immediately coasts in a league where guys are extra hungry to take your spot. You're one the media LOVES. Claiming to hate them yet eating up their special sauce like a lemming. Hope you're sitting down when Dak's contract get announced. Lol.

And all of that boy scout behavior will gain Dak nothing in the eyes of piker fans with a salary ax to grind. This is why Zeke and his agent were spot on in striking when the iron was hot. Get hate if you do, get hate if you don't so do it on your own terms and let the masses stew.

My contract year "falacy" is being proved correct if you look at our last two overpaid contracts.

Sitting down? Of course, I have no doubt it's going to be another overpaid contract.........and he'll follow in the same footsteps as the previous two.

This is a poor argument because you are comparing a guy has already made his mega millions to a guy that is just looking for his first big payday. It's much easier to be generous with $180 million in assets than with maybe $1-2 million in assets. I'm guessing Brady was a little more concerned about his contract before his first payday.

Those 2 contracts are completed already?
