Holy great googly moogly!

At this rate, he's going to make more than Dak, not just Zeke.

Look, I love me some Romo, and he does make the games more fun to watch, but this is insane.

I don't tune in for broadcasters. Almost nobody does. If I hear Beth Mowins voice, I'm out, but otherwise, I'm generally OK with whomever is doing the game.

Happy for my guy. Finally people get to hear his football IQ each week and it is helping to change the narrative on him as a player a little bit as well.

Get your bag Romo!

I like Tony, but I don't get the announcing hype on him. But, good for him, get paid man.

Is this your money?

He can make $50M for all I care. It doesn't affect me or the Cowboys in any way.

The benefits of being great at your job. Just a fun guy to listen to.

Still would like to have Romo paired with Burkhardt over at Fox Sports. But I think Brukhardt is still with the B-Team since Buck and Troy do most of the game of the weeks.
Personally I like Kevin Harlan. He's great with football, basketball. On TV or radio.

He and Romo would be a great team, IMO. Just a personal preference.

If ESPN gets him, they need to pull Kevin Harlan off the radio broadcast to go with him.

Tessatore is painfully football ignorant and tough to listen to. Replacing Booger with Romo won't change that.
You beat me to it.

I like Burkhardt, I think he is good. I'm a New York Mets fan (yeah poor me) and for years he was the guy who roamed the stadium at Citifield with a mic and the announcers would go to him for 2 minutes here and there during the games, that's all. But he was good and I'm glad to see after paying his dues he has a nice career. As a side note in a Mets group similar to this one people hate him there and I was baffled by that until I finally caught wind of why, Kevin started doing Mets games after they won a division in 2006 and left right before they finally won again in 2015 so these idiots view him as some jinx because the never won when he was there, but did right before he started and right after he left. That's so juvenile of them.

$20m means absolutely nothing to ESPN. Their revenue is like $10 billion lol.
Yea but they had major cost cutting a couple years ago as revenue and profits has dipped significantly in recent years.

Doesn't matter. Revenue was up in 2018 from 2017, and it will continue to go up with ESPN+.

$20m, is a rounding error when you're talking about the kind of money ESPN has.

Romo's salary isn't even a rounding error at Disney, who owns ESPN.
I didn’t say that you would get a letter from your cable provider saying “your bill is going up $5 thanks to Tony Romo”, but since ESPN is probably the most expensive part of any cable plan that means yes, their expenditures do affect the price you pay... even if it’s small or not easily quantifiable.

I don’t see what the big deal is with Romo as an announcer. He’s okay but I don’t think he’s that great. Just my opinion.

I tune in for Tony games. I don't watch much football outside of the Cowboys. If Romo's game is on TV, I will watch. Otherwise, I have other things to do instead of watching a game filled with Refs, flags and commercials...

I despise Kevin's phrases.

Particularly "Across the way."

Drives me insane.

Booger drives me crazy. I have to turn down the sound.
