Jimmy G, Carson Wentz and Kirk Cousins aren’t top-five QBs. You don’t have to be a top-five QB to get paid. Big bucks are the going rate for good QBs there’s these days.
Obviously not.....it's just not good business practice.

Stop following me around and go start fights with someone else! Whatever your problem is with me get over it!

How about you don't bring your baseless rants into a thread I created? Who's actually "following who" here?

Self awareness isn't your thing is it?

I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but I'd like to see what McCarthy and Moore can do with Josh Rosen.

He was a first round pick for a reason. He has skills. Was behind a horrible o-line in Arizona. Poor coaching in Miami. Needs to be coached up big time. Still on a rookie deal.

Let him learn and develop while Dak plays on his franchise tag (if he signs it).

Let the slamming begin.

Won't slam you. He's an interesting option. But he has issues. His head ain't right like Mayfield (or our very own Tristan Hill).

"He was both a child prodigy and a child of privilege, and the combination makes him a weird fit in a football locker room. That is an environment full of people who are determined to prove a point. Rosen tends to act like he has already proven it.

"A year ago, Rosen went 10th in the draft and immediately declared, “Nine mistakes were made ahead of me. And I will make sure over the next decade or so that they will know that they made a mistake.” He later amended this to say that three mistakes were made ahead of him: The Browns drafting quarterback Baker Mayfield, the Jets drafting quarterback Sam Darnold, and the Bills drafting quarterback Josh Allen."

Jim Mora said he “needs to be challenged intellectually so he doesn’t get bored.”

Still think it's a good thought even though he will probably be looking for a starting gig.

Clearly, especially when you come rumbling into the thread with your made up, perceived slight that never happened.

Spin, spin, spin.

Make up more things that didn't happen and arguments not made for your self-created outrage.

You’re the one who came rumbling into the thread because your panties are still in a wad over an argument we had a few days ago about Keenum who you believe is a better option at QB than Dak. Lol

Don’t see how he could accept he’s anything more than a backup when he could playing for his 6th team in 10 seasons. If he’s not back in Washington next season that will be the third team in 3 straight seasons he went one and done with. He was 1-7 last season and got benched for a rookie. He’s 6-17 as a starting QB the last two seasons. The way he’s bouncing around the league he may end up in the XFL before long. It’s mind boggling how many Cowboy fans would rather have Keenum as the teams starting QB over Dak.
Sounds like his endeavors are of an honorably honest body of work, the ol'boy has been putting in,,, and while his less than tolerable compiled numbers( according to his previous employers evaluations) it's clear illustration as to just how royally hosed we are in the talent department concerning that position,,,just saying, bro!:starspin:

I started the thread, I didn't come into it starting trouble with your perceived slight. That was you.

Here's the top 5 as per Spotrac:

PLAYER
AVERAGE

1
Russell Wilson
QUARTERBACK $35,000,000
2
Ben Roethlisberger
QUARTERBACK $34,000,000
3
Jared Goff
QUARTERBACK $33,500,000

Aaron Rodgers
QUARTERBACK $33,500,000
5
Carson Wentz
QUARTERBACK $32,000,000

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/average/quarterback/

Average that out and it's $33.5 million, putting him equal to Aaron Rodgers and his accomplishments. I don't put him there.
True......if you averaged it where Dak rank is it would bring that 33.5 down where fair market value truly is but that's not what he wants........he thinks he deserves more....for whatever reason.

Yea, he's a misunderstood dude at times but I question if he has "it" to put in the work to become elite or is he simply content cause he made the NFL and his parents are well off.

He got the David Carr treatment in Arizona and well Miami wasn't much better off in terms of protection. But he's had two coaching staffs sour on him quickly.

There isn’t anything baseless about my comments, everyone can see there’s a number of fans on this board that are lobbying for Case Keenum as our starting QB. I asked you at least 3 times a few days ago if you thought Case Keenum would be a better option at QB than Dak and you refused to answer. All you did was talk up Keenum making excuses for his lack of success and tear down Dak.

I didn’t come here to start trouble I contributed by giving an opinion of Keenum that rubbed you the wrong way and now you’re on the attack.

I think the only "reason" that he and his agent could have is this - timing.

The "other guys" are getting paid "this much" at "this time" so Dak and his agent think that's what he and they deserve. Based on when, not on what if anything one has actually accomplished. Goff and Wentz were paid the same way. Not for what they've done, but based on when they signed their deals.

And they all know that the cap is about to explode based on the new money about to come in from the new CBA, and they want their piece of that pie too.

If that's what you consider your very first post here, you're sadly mistaken.

It’s mind boggling how many Cowboy fans would rather have Keenum as the teams starting QB over Dak.

The second one was worse:

The last 25 years of not getting past the divisional round of the playoffs along with these up and down seasons that have become a troubling trend have warped the minds of many Cowboys fans. Keenum is just one of many QB names that have come up to replace Dak that makes you question the sanity of many. I’ve been posting on Cowboys fan boards for 18 years and have never seen anything like this. When you read some of the posts on this board you would think the Cowboys have one of the worst QB situations in the entire league.

Not since the days of Quincy Carter have I seen as many Cowboy fans want to move on from a QB as badly as they want to move on from Dak. They’re so against paying him like a top five QB that they would rather have a reject with a career losing record who’s looking for his 6th team in 9 seasons as the Cowboys starting QB. There can’t be a stranger more uneducated fan base than this one. It’s almost like fans here would rather see the Cowboys picking in the top 10 of the NFL draft every year than competing for a Super Bowl.

I'll clue you in since you obviously need the help. You're the guy causing the trouble. Based on a perceived slight that didn't happen. Look in the mirror and take some personal accountability.

It starts with you.

If that's the way your warped mind needs to view it? Sure.

Attempt to bring your same misery here, despite all the warnings and mentions otherwise.

Show everyone exactly where the real problem begins and ends - with you.

All you’re doing is making this about me because you’re still angry over a disagreement we had about Keenum a few days ago. The real problem is with you, you’re attacking me. If you don’t like my opinions put me on ignore!

I'd rather draft this kid in the 4th or 5th (if he drops that far), then groom him just in case.

Cole McDonald (6'4", 220)

I think Cole is going in round 3. He’d be a great pick.

Keenum is an ideal backup.
But because Dak is not injury prone (yet) and Keenum is a fairly expensive backup, I really doubt Dallas would consider it.
