Ask Jean Jacque Taylor. Supposedly Lal didn’t know any of the actual scheme and his “proficiency” as a route running teacher was overhyped.

When you have Cooper, Gallup and Cobb how much work are you having to do?
cooper and cobb in new systems, gallup in only his second year. lal must have done something right. what the heck does jjt know?

Not at all. I merely pointed them out as an indicator of a less than stellar job done by the wide receivers coach.

Cooper and Cobb have both had 1000+ seasons in the past, that's not a new height for either.

And Cobb led the league in fewest dropped passes in 2017, only to be among the league leaders in his lone year in Dallas. That further supports my argument.
Edelman led the league in dropped passes. for the year gallup dropped 6 and cooper 4. hardly an f grade.

2nd and 6th in the entire league.

Gallup dropped 11 and Cobb dropped 8.

There's the perspective.
I googled nbc sports as my reference. their numbers are decidedly different than those you're using. but i'm no expert on such things. I just know 2 1000 yard receivers and another over 800 speaks for itself, and that includes the dropped passes. not sure their criteria for what is defined as a dropped pass.

Yeah, seems nebulous and subject to interpretation.

For real. I'm sure a few "not ideal" balls thrown their way contributed too.
This is a drop if he doesn't catch it.........Sanjay needed to to do a better job........

I think that 'catching' is part of coaching. And when guys are struggling in that area, it should be an emphasis of their practices. Certainly over carrying bricks. Running a route doesn't mean anything if your player drops the pass when it does come. That's basic, fundamental stuff for a receiver.

That's my opinion on it.
Probably more of a lack of concentration issue.

Kudos to him. I understand we had to move on, but he did some good things too. Things that needed to be done. Good for him.

I didn’t understand why they didn’t bring him back unless they blame him for why Cooper couldn’t play on the road or why they led the league in drops.

His technique of if you can catch a wrench you can catch a ball wasn't well taken by the receivers exclusive sources tell me.

After the news of him causing problems in addition to the Cowboys leading the league in drops, I'm more than fine with him moving on.

lol the news of him causing problems was made up by a bitter former Cowboy who didn’t get the job.

I hate it when losers spread false rumors about Lal like he didn’t know schemes and football fundamentals. They where just mad they didn’t qualify for the WR coach. Lal is going to take Seattle’s passing game to another level.

Rotund mate, Lal was overhyped. He was adequate but we expected too much.

I don't know that you can put that on the WR coach. His job is to get them open and where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there. It's up to the players to catch the ball.
His firing suggest otherwise. Mike McCarthy is entitled to keep or fire who ever he wants, which is why KM is still around but your buddy Sanjay is now up Northwest now.

Not sure about that, the Cowboys receivers were among the league leaders in dropped passes in 2019.

he can teach only so much in regards to technique and how to focus, he cant place stick um on their gloves ...no WR coach can catch the ball for you.

my eye to Sandray is teaching them route techniques, how to dip and sink their hips, footwork, selling the routes ad deception- extent arms
out of the breaks, adjusting and improvising on the move, how was Sandray LaI full body ofwork -did the WRs route and development improve (ala gallup) was it just a matter of McCarthy wanted a change up and his own selected guy ( adam Henry)
I hear he's pretty good because he actually has WR drills.

I heard from past players that sandray was more detailed extremed technician than most wr coaches and placed more emphasis and stress on stance, running form, footwork, waist bend,,dipping the hips, shoulder placement, etc.
I can't imagine a prominent wr coach not knowing schemes as per whispers from the stars so I'm taking that with a grain of salt.
