No, I'm not convinced of that at all. If 33 was the original offer, I'd guess that this is about where the market is for Dak. I could be wrong but I don't believe I am. This isn't about what's fair. This is business.
No disagreeing but the offer last time from what I gather was even lower so they are coming up. I think our side is pushing for 33 million on 7 years and are looking for a slight discount. Daks side is likely around 37 for 4 years. It will settle at 35 for the 4 years with a 3 year chance to extend. Of course it’s all just speculation

I could see that happening. I also know Cousins took 2 years of guaranteed tag money and then signed a pretty good deal when he walked. I guess it would depend on what the QB field looks like in 2 years.

We don't know. Anything could happen.

Whitlock is a turd. No mention of factual salary amounts with regard to guaranteed.

Its a few things.

He has a issue with the black qb for some reason. Not all of them. I think he likes Mahomes and Russell. Over the years he's had a vendetta against Dak, Lamar, Deshaun, Kapernick, McNabb, Vick just to name a few.

You don't have to agree with a guy to like him. Randy Galloway.....he was a troll but he was great at what he does and no matter what he said you knew it was never personal. Skip Bayless and Whitlock are of the same cloth. Say whatever they want with no consequence or repercussion. His agenda is to go against the grain and make it personal. Prime example:

OK

Who's option? Dak's or teams? I personally wouldn't pay him 35 and I wouldn't sign a deal for 4 years only if I were the Cowboys. That's just my opinion though.

I cannot imagine Daks side not wanting to make it a shorter deal to coincide with the first year of boosted revenue with the new TV deal and for that same reason I can see why Jerry wants a longer term deal. However I could also guess that if you were going for the seven-year deal you would be more willing to go 40 million because you know that it will be completely and utterly outpaced by the time years 6 and 7 show up (which is why most QBs sign no more than 5 year deals).

Honestly I don’t understand the insult. Because I said Dak wanting mid 30s isn’t much of a difference than 40?
If you want to treat millions of dollars that you are not responsible for so nonchalantly, OK millennial.

I love the moron fantasy that Dak is a total garbageman that could be replaced with a scrub tier free agent, AND that the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS would happily give up two 1st rounders for Dak instead of just re-signing TOM MOTHER-LOVIN' BRADY. Truly elite posting in the internets, you guys.

What are you talking about? I was being critical of the amount Dak was asking for. Nothing more boomer than watching a boomer lost in a conversation on the “interweb”

There you go again responding to what you've read. You weren't there so how do you know what he said he wants? What's there to be critical about? You need to stop getting so emotional over the hype in the grapevine.

Dak being elite , he surely is worth 2 first round picks . At least . Surely .

Like 31M - 40M elite . Now thats elite, i think NFL teams will fight over who can give the best offer.

Open Market values don't lie .

Learn the difference between the exclusive and non-exclusive franchise tags and then figure out which one Jerry is slapping on the QB who will be paid the average of the top 5 QB salaries in the league already.

Gotcha . Non-exclusive tag is what we need .
& Jerry wants what Johnny Walker tells him to want .

The exclusive tag is what Jerry is slapping on Dak. Maybe you're right about Johnny Walker telling him to do it. The point is, talking about what others will offer for Dak, or whether Dak is worth two 1st round picks is irrelevant. The Jones boys are committed to making Dak the team's franchise QB for the next several years.

Disagree, Whitlock is one of the few who don't fear the repercussions of being critical of the Annointed one. He is insulated from the usual accusations of having an agenda and just tells it like it is.

He doesnt have to overcompensate like Chris Collingsworth and lie about things like Dako buying his deceased mother a new house.......after she passed. And doesn't have to pull a Booger McFarland and embellish Daks input on every play the offense makes to bolster how he is viewed either.

He may have a different opinion on Rayne Dakotas value than you do but straying off the designated and expected line of thought doesn't make him a piece of crap.

I admire free thinkers like Jason.

And there goes your credibility, lol. I hear Bugs Bunny, was a free thinker.

The problem is, the contract dispute, is based on lies; and lemmings follow what they are led to believe. Any report leaked, is devoured like carrion among vultures.
