I need to save this from now on in notepad so I can copy and paste it in every one of these silly threads.

Brady will not go anywhere. He stays and retires as a patriot. Boom, mic drop. Save you guys the trouble of even speculating.

IMO YPA is a good metric to use for quarterbacks. You can raise it by either completing a higher percentage of short passes or by hitting more deep passes, so it rewards both accuracy and aggressiveness.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/yardsPerPassAttempt/dir/desc

NFL's best QBs in YPA last year

1. Ryan Tannehill 9.6 (!)
2. Matthew Stafford 8.4
3. Jimmy Garrapollo 8.3
4. Patrick Mahomes 8.3
T-5. Dak Prescott 8.2
T-5 Jameis Winston 8.2

NFL's worst QBs in YPA last year

T-27 Tom Brady 6.6
T-27 Daniel Jones 6.6
T-27 Andy Dalton 6.6
T-27 Jacoby Brisset 6.6
31. Mason Rudolph 6.2
32. Mitch Trubisky 6.1

Bridgewater didn't throw enough passes to qualify per ESPN, but his 7.2 YPA would have been tied for 16th - tied with Baker Mayfield, just a hair below Matt Ryan, and right above Aaron Rodgers.

Anyway, the tl;dr of this is that Dak was one of the most effective QBs in the league on a per-play basis, Bridgewater was pretty decent, and 2019 Brady was absolute trash
