Hilarious. A moderator who has seen and read hundreds (perhaps exceeding even a thousand) of Romo bashing threads "forgetting" they existed.
Romo was bashed for not meeting some people's expectations as the Dallas Cowboys' starting quarterback--despite the strengths and/or weaknesses of teammates and coaches that made up the team during his career. For the past few years, Romo has not been the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback and not only has continued being bashed but now stigmatized for his previous ties to the franchise.

The above image is located on the Forums page. It is also located at the top of the Fan Zone pages. Personally, I stopped thinking whether any active site member reads forum descriptions a while ago--along with the site's forum rules for that matter.
My opinions:
- "General" encompasses a wide range of conceivable topics that may or may not within the comprehension of any particular member.
- "Dallas Cowboys" equates as any past, present and possibly future connection with the franchise.
So.
Tony Romo is a
former Dallas Cowboys player who has made news in his current sports broadcasting career.
What does that mean for me?
Well. It means that I (and again, I do not speak for any other staff member) read
"At least move the topic to the “irrelevant” forum or NFL forum or off topic forum where it belongs" made in your reply directed to me and summarily dismissed it as an action I shall undertake. That said, it does not eliminate the possibility that I may eventually move this Fan Zone topic to another forum IF I believe certain participants' premediated postings drive it out OF the Fan Zone. Additionally, my inaction does not preclude the possibility that another staff member may move the thread to another forum in the future as well.
Of course, some may disagree with my opinions of forum descriptions. If so, I'm cool with it. One thing is abundantly clear on this and any other type of discussion arena--both on and off the internet: people disagree about a LOT of things. Life is like a box of chocolates after all.
