I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but I'd like to see what McCarthy and Moore can do with Josh Rosen.

He was a first round pick for a reason. He has skills. Was behind a horrible o-line in Arizona. Poor coaching in Miami. Needs to be coached up big time. Still on a rookie deal.

Let him learn and develop while Dak plays on his franchise tag (if he signs it).

Let the slamming begin.
Leave no stone unturned! I like that it shows your open minded. Rosen is a project that needs some work but he has the physical tools.

Some people sound like they won the "Eat a Tidepod a Day" challenge.

The OP's theory or proposition is sound. If you can get an inexpensive productive quarterback, you should do it or at the least consider it.
And interest in Rosen, if he becomes available and is cheap. I know he has played to two bad teams so far with far less talent on the teams.

Josh Rosen is at $660,000 base and $1.4 million roster bonus.
2021 is $750,000 base with $2.1 million roster bonus.

You guys keep using this excuse and giving bad quarterbacks a pass because they are playing for bad teams. Fitzpatrick performed with that same team Rosen had and looked better.

Not saying these guys should be All Pro's with poor talent but they need to show consistent flashes. Kyler Murray plays for a bad team but when you watch him play you can tell he just needs more seasoning. He still flashes with a poor team. If these guys are bad on a bad team chances are they will be bad even on a good team and are a big reason why that team is bad to begin with.

If Keenum was as good as y’all are making him out to be maybe those teams wouldn’t have been bottom of the barrel?
You do understand the skill of the other 10 guys matters, right?

The teams were bottom barrel talent-wise. You are trying to look at team record and not offensive talent.

I do understand. But I also understand if the quarterback sucks than the team more than likely will suck.

Anybody but Cooper as our backup. If Dak went down early in the season, then we are playing for a top 5 pick in the next draft.

Yes, and if the offensive talent sucks, and the QB is not elite, he will more than likely not do well. We know the offensive talent sucked. We have an example where it didn't where we can compare the results.

Keenum is not elite, he is capable. Surround him with good talent and he'll be productive. Surround him with crap, and he'll struggle. Just like Dak (who struggles too often when surrounded by good talent IMO).

We won’t win carp with Keenum but if he is cheap, then at least there is that.

Picking top 5 in the 2021 draft might not be bad thing. I dont wish injury on anyone but man if Dallas was somehow inside that top 5 it could be a real chance to get Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence needs to improve his accuracy. Dude looked like Wild Thing from Major League in the playoffs last year.

People act like Dak is some kind of prolific passer when in reality Dak and Keenum are basically the same guy.

I agree! That LSU defense made a lot of QBs look bad. Lawrence is still a kid but has a ton of potential.

I'm fine w/ bringing in Rosen if he's cheap.

Thing is, he hasn't looked bad, he's looked terrible.
And the knock on him pre-draft he had poor inter-personal and leadership skills. Maybe he’s been humbled in the NFL. Jay Cutler 2.0.

Where was the lie about “riding” mentioned?
Never mind. If you’re going to just backpeddle there’s no point. You said what you said and now you’re trying to take it back. Did you not say Keenum has taken his team further than Dak has? It’s yes or no.....
