I do too.. The team isn’t good enough and it’s not going to be good enough by paying this guy like he is something he is not and something he proved he couldn’t do during the most optimal part of his deal.

You need a lot to win a championship with Dak Prescott as your QB.
You need a lot with anyone as your QB.

IMO, only the '16 team deserved to go further.

But I look at team, not one guy.

How about Mitch Trubisky? He had the ordinary rookie season 4-12, then in 2018 he was 11-3 (Bears won their division at 12-4), and this year he was 8-7 while the Bears finished 8-8 with a tougher schedule.

The Bears are ready to move on.

Yep and that is why teams are winning championships with QBs on rookie deals and vets taking pay cuts in recent years.

The only vets taking pay cuts are aging, declining vets and castoffs, which is what you would rather have as our starter. Any QB that’s cheap you’re all in on. lol

If the Cowboys could trade up for Joe Burrow instead of signing Dak it makes better sense.
Burrows would then be under a rookie contract for five years, with a new and capable head coach in Mike McCarthy, and Kellen Moore leading the offense. The Cowboys would save big money compared to giving a big contract to a still unproven Dak Prescott.
The offensive line is still strong, and Zeke is still powerful.
In the short term and the long, trading up for Burrows is a no-brainer.
And signing Case Keenum would give them solid depth for a championship run by 2021.
It makes good sense every way you look at it.

While were at it, lets just trade for Mahomes and hire Bellicheck?

First things first. I'm so glad that you have zero to do with the Cowboys!!!!! Next the stupidity of the trade. IF, that huge word, IF QB was the ONLY position hole that the Cowboys had, this MIGHT, again MIGHT make some sense, but that's not the case. So trading away for sure the Cowboys 1st round picks in 2020 and 2021 and probably their #2 in 2020 and very well in 2021 too So all the other positions, especially on defense don't get address until 2022.

And as you said, "still unproven Dak Prescott" but you put all this faith in a QB that thus far has taken ZERO snaps in the NFL Then comes topping on this ***** cake. You want Keenum, a QB that been on SEVEN teams in his EIGHT year career. I know in your mind that is probably one of the highest accomplishments a good QB can have, but the rest of us see that even just average QB's don't jump around like that.

I just got down saying a prayer and thanking God that you don't have anything to do with the Cowboys. All the help like yours would do would get the Cowboys the 1st pick in the 2021 draft.

I also forgot to mention about you saying Borrow would be there for 5 years. Being a 1st round pick and in the first 10 picks he would get a 4 year contract AND the team can then use a 5th year option which is the average of the top 10 QB contracts so what you think is just another year of rookie contract would put him at 27 mil for that year using 2020 figures which will drive up his costs of the next contract.

Pass! He was on his way to the bench till we made him look HOF bound. Should that game along not be a sign we need help on the D side.

Poor guy gets no love. At least the Bears have Chase Daniels behind him that makes them want to pull him.

We had.....who was that guy? And his contract is up too.

Guess if Dak holds out, we need to trade with Jacksonville. They are reportedly willing to package Nick Foles + their #1 (pick 20) hoping to move up. (Really they want to dump Foles $84 million contract that carries a cap hit $22 million this year, and they're willing to throw in their #1 to do so.)

SO Far from a no brainer you and other fans have lost touch with relaity..

put down the madden game and move away from the xbox lol this isnt fantasy football..

why NOT?

1.the asking price for draft picks will be even more then usual and even if it were normal you are leveraging your draft and future drafts for a UNPROVEN NFL player.. hes not a cant miss prospect..

2.see 1. too many draft picks for about 3 drafts and we need to reduild the defense more then we need a rookie QB..

3. Cinci NEEDS a QB , Burrow is from OH, and Burrow is considere the top qb in this drft, they wont be giving that up un;less you give up a walker or ricky Williams drafts to get him and even then they might not..

so really hes not avaible..

it would be easier to go get a Hebert or another QB closer to where we are picking but again the defense is being dismantled and rebuilt as we have like 18 FAs on that side of the ball.. this draft needs to lean defensive early..

you want a new QB? FT Dak, pick a Jhurts and bring in a case keenum TYPE to fill the hole should dak hold out and to bridge the gap for Daks future release down the road, 2021

You need to close the book on trying to get rid of Dak. In fact, try and find a different topic.

Good talk.
