Dak IS worse than Garoppolo and Tannehill. You must have been in hibernation during the entire season.
Tannehill had the best rating in the league, but threw half of the passes Dak did. Garoppolo's rating was 3 points higher and he threw over 100 fewer passes than Dak and 900 yards less.

Dak had the 4th highest QBR while throwing for the 2nd most yards in the league and 8.2 yards per pass. The year Romo and Rodgers were in competition for the MVP Romo had a slightly higher QBR but did it with the support of a better running game and threw far fewer passes. Rodgers obviously got all but one MVP vote I believe.

The offense went through Dak this year and to put up the numbers he did, with a bad shoulder the last several weeks, well I think it is hard to make the case that he isn't better than guys who aren't asked to throw that often.

Nah, just playing y'alls game.
What game?

Its 2020 and the Cowboys QB is a free agent. While it is February we are discussing the possible outcomes. Which are numorous.

Why is there always some unstable Fan ranting about Romo. Always in comparison with Dak. For what?

You continually attack people and label them.

What is your Game?

And why do you insist others participate in it?

Its 2020 and we are discussuing the Cowboys

If you want to talk about Romo . . . Go to the "Television Analyst Zone"

I seriously don't understand this line of thought. If it was good enough for Tony then it should be good enough for Dak........ It was a fail with Tony so how in the world does this statement equate? The team should continue with a failed policy indefinitely? I mean, is that what we are saying here?
Romo led the Cowboys to the playoffs 3 times during his big contract years (2007 - 2014). That's 3 times out of 8. Agree it could have been better to have paid him less to afford more or better players, but would Romo have agreed to take less? What other option at QB did the Cowboys have? They had no choice but to pay Romo big TWICE. The same situation is happening now with Dak.

They are simply still butthurt because Dak dethroned their idol and forced him to watch Dak tear it up his rookie year while sitting on the bench and forced to retire afterwards.

Really looks like a "team player" in those pics. Romo was a fraud who lucked into a starting QB role because of Jerruh's incompetence. He just happened to be the best of the worst. Had we had a real leader at QB, hew would've been a perpetual backup.

Funny, how he was supposedly a committed golfer. I saw him in the recent celebrity closet to the pin challenge and he got owned by the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan who probably are casuals compared to him. Romo is a choker in any sport.

Excuse me? Y'all attack Dak and anyone who supports him every single day. Just when one gets tired of it and calls y'all out on your schtick, oh, we are the bad guys? PFFT. Get real.

I don't know if he would have or not but I also don't think that's the point. I do not believe in the whole, QB can will you to win if he's good enough line of thought. I am a staunch believer in team wins. I was not in favor of signing Tony Romo to the new deal or extension. I didn't like the cap implications and I feel as if what I believed to be true then basically came to fruition. I liked Tony Romo as a person and I feel like he's one of the best people I've ever seen in sports but I was not for giving him that kind of money. I'm of the same opinion with Dak. This is the problem all too often to me. Posters look at anybody who isn't all in on signing Dak with an eye towards something else. Now, I don't want to get specific about this because it will not help this thead and I don't want to take this down that path but suffice to say that it's not always about that. For a lot of people, this is about watching this happen twice before and understanding that expecting a different result from the same behavior is the very definition of insanity. This is not about Dak or Tony or Troy or whomever. This is about how you believe you should run an organization for me.

Gonna warn you know he’s trolling. He’s gonna make you display energy and post stars and facts while all he’s gonna do is call you a Dak Slobberer.

I hear you, ABQ. We all are worried about how it could affect keeping other players if our QB is paid amongst the highest in the league. But......Jerry proved he has not and will not learn his lesson when he just last year paid Zeke as the highest RB ever in NFL history, then paid D-Law as the highest 4-3 DE in the league. Now we see Dak and others asking for the same courtesy pay in return thanks to the example Jerry set last year.

That’s not how it works. The sample size for Tannehill was fine. If Tannehill had threw more passes, he might have had an even higher rating. Or he might have had a lower rating. But if you meet that minimum sample size, which Tannehill did, the comparison is fine. And Tannehill obliterated Dak this season, he just didn’t edge him out.

And give me a break, Dak is the poster child for low output, his first three seasons he is at the bottom of three league in attempts and TD passes. One fluke season of garbage time powered stats doesn’t change that. Dak is a dink and dunk QB who is carried by All-Pro teammates to mediocrity. Nobody thinks he is better than either of those guys, which is why he’s unsigned.

Yeah your the victim.

If you are always in conflict with someone you will alwys assume you are being attacked.

Try doing this:

For one week dont mention Romo and see what happens.

The guy has been gone for 4 years now.

Talk about attacking . . Go find the thread talking about the amazibg fact Romo is about to get paid 20 million.

And his reputation and legacy was attacked for no reason.

He is retired and is undoubtedly the best game commentator since John Madden and people on this board cant be happy for him or God Forbid be proud of an ex Cowboy.

Its a certified Derangement Syndrome

I think it's different with Dak and Zeke. I didn't want to give out that record long term deal for Zeke either and when the terms of that deal were announced, I was actually not too disappointed with how it was structured. That's actually not a horrible deal when I look at it. With Dak, it's kinda just the opposite. You don't want a short term deal because the idea around signing a QB to big money is stability. You don't really want a short term deal for a QB necessarily. You want stability at that position. Now that's what we might end up seeing but I get why the team wants a longer term deal. I mean lets face it. The more we watch players, the more it becomes apparent that the last year of a deal is nothing. Players are going to demand new deals a year before a contract is actually up and I see that as a new norm. So a three year deal is actually a two year deal etc. I don't want to be here in the same place in two years. That's bad for the team IMO. DLaw, I don't have a lot for that situation. Exactly what I was afraid of happened this year. To me this is not a what's fair for one is fair for the other type deal. To me, this is about learning from stupid mistakes and doing it better going forward. Will Jerry learn, I don't know but I do know this. Following a failed process is going to lead you to the same result IMO.

I'll never be for that.

LOL... he couldn’t do it. You could safely say that you will ask the mods to ban yourself if he could hold out for one week without typing those four letters. He wouldn’t make it one day... he’d rather dive off of Reunion Tower. That and cry to the mods...

So according to you the context in which Tannehill achieved his rating is irrelevant, but the context in which Dak got his stats completely undermines what he accomplished. Got it.
