Was gonna say Jason Garrett??? Originally signed by the Saints in 1989 i believe to the Practice Squad then did a short tour of the CFL. The 1994 Thanksgiving game we all remember. He just threw it up and it worked that day. LOL The premise was good players passing through, not originally drafted by the Cowboys. I guess he should at least be mentioned. He wasnt Steve Buerlien or Bernie Kosar. However he wasnt a horrible backup QB.

Robert Williams #23 very good ST player for 92 team, made a lot of plays that year but was inactive for SB. Still won 2 rings with Boys though.

James Washington

Hard hitter and had key INTs and plays in both super bowls against the bills. In fact, it was argued that he should have been the MVP in the 2nd super bowl against the bills.

I read Charles Haley was scared of him.

Considering Parnell's impact you can have him times sixteen. A ghost.

In 2014 he had starts including 2 playoff games with 1 sack allowed and dominant run blocking. He was better than the starter (Free).

In following years you got Chaz Green...

Most fans only follow the ball and just believe whatever the media tells them with regards to players that the camera does not follow.

Keyshawn Johnson, Thomas Everitt, Ray Horton, Jay Novacek, Terry Glenn, Rahib ‘Rocket’ Ismael... sure, most will remember Charles Haley and Dieon Sanders. But how about excellent but lesser-known contributors like La’roi Glover whom played for less successful versions of the Dallas Cowboys yet were excellent nonetheless?

Name your favorite ‘journeymen’ Dallas Cowboys.

Johnson was a trouble maker and towards the end of his career the Cowboys traded Galloway for him. He had a good first season but the second and last season in Dallas he stay pretty consistent but salary cap like several of the players you listed cause his departure. Thomas Everitt was another cap casualty. Ray Horton tore a ACL was never the same after that so was released to make room for Woodson to start. Jay Novacek was a really good TE that after 6 season in Dallas in his 11 year career he retired. Terry Glenn did a good job as the #2 receiver opposite of Galloway but had injury problem most of his career and it was that which caused the Cowboys to release him in 2008. Lastly Rocket Ismael was elevated to the #1 receiver when Irvin suffered the neck injury that ended his career. The rocket also had injury problems that due to that and salary cap issues he was released and then retired after spending 3 years in Dallas.

Almost all players today are just rented or passing through. Very few quality players play their entire career with the same team. the two I think of first that played long careers with the same team are Brady if he never plays for another team and Larry Fitzgerald. Even HOF'ers like Montana, Rice and Favre played on more than one team. Favre played on 4 different teams over his 20 year career.
