Just how many times did the offense put the defense in bad position? I can tell you the defense/special teams only gave the offense starting field position in opponents territory 13 total times in 2019. It was absolutely pathetic. You have any numbers on how often the offense out the defense in bad position?

And even if the Defense had been exactly the same, Dallas would have been at least 10-6 if there Special Teams were average instead of horrible.

It just amazes me that people can seriously put some of those losses on Dak.

Because I actually watched the games. There is no serious person in or around the NFL that would say Dak "choked" in any of those games.
His 1st half performances were so bad that the opposing defense was playing prevent which led to a lot of his yards. I also watched the games and he was not good. Winston also threw for over 4K yards are you going to admit that he is a good QB? Even Aikman called out his garbage stat racking.

Winston threw for 30 interceptions and Dak 11, you can't seriously compare those two.

For first half performances, these are the stats for 2019:

Dak in the first half: 2278 yards for a 63.5% completion percentage, passer rating of 94.5.

Dak in the second half: 2624 yards for a 66.8% completion percentage, passer rating of 105.

All those yards while averaging fewer than 2 tds per game...

Well I think there's a few things you have to consider.

In 2 or 3 years will Dak's contract still be considered "elite" money? You remember when Jimmy G and Kirk Cousins contracts were looked at as elite money? Or how about Derek Carr's? In comparison to the 33-34 million Wentz and Goff got? The contracts don't look nearly as bad as they did when those guys signed it.

Like I said above, I get both sides of it. People knocked the Vikings for signing Cousins...I thought it was smart. You have a bunch of guys in the prime of their careers...why would you waste their prime years when they are in win now mode?

In 2018 if I'm not mistaken the Vikings signed Kirk Cousins that year.........let's say they somehow managed to trade up. Would they had been better off with Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Lamar Jackson......or with Kirk Cousins? I'd rather have Cousins.......except for Lamar. I don' think they would've been much better with Lamar but as a player I would've taken Lamar over Cousins.

With the money they gave Cousins they could have got a top shelf DE and CB.

Good QBs don't elevate teams..
Why on earth would you give a "good" QB top money when you could have a young QB drive the bus with an elite team around him?

Because in free agency there is rarely a top shelf De or CB available. Why would a team let a top shelf de or cb leave via free agency? They wouldn’t. Free agency is full of either the Anthony Hitchens types or guys like Suh or McCoy who are passed their prime and those guys can be obtained.

Contrary to popular belief.....no rookie quarterback will be good enough to win a ring. It took Mahomes in year 3 to get his. Hardly the standard.

How is that cowardice? You think that you can demand s*** and I'm gonna just go searching? Wrong.
I mean you make a claim like that it should be easy to find. I personally can’t find it. I think @Kaiser knows it’s a lie because that’s not something Aikman would do. Doesn’t take a google search to know that. He’s hard on Jerry and this organization but to call our a fellow quarterback like that is breaking a code among them. M

I heard it with my own ears during the game.

Parcells said it best. You are what your record says you are. Dak and Romo were both 8&8 to 9&7 QB's. The Cowboys aren't winning any SB's with guys
that can't overcome faults on their teams. Brees, Rogers, Brady could all carry their teams to victory when needed, especially in crunch time. Dak can't!
Stats are for losers...Super Bowl wins are for winners. Dak has had 4 years to prove he's top shelf and guess what. He's been weighed, measured and found
lacking.

You are misquoting Parcells. When he said you are what your record says you are he wasn’t talking about one position he was talking about the whole team lol.

How many 4th qtr. comeback victories did those stats equate to in 2019?
You can read this for the answer. https://thelandryhat.com/2020/01/20/dallas-cowboys-dak-prescott-earn-big-payday/

Maybe, but you have to remember how hard Parcells was on his QB's. He even has his set of rules for his QB's. Even Wentz is rated way about Dak. The Cowboys have shopped for their QB's in the bargain basement bin for years and it hasn't gotten them back to a SB in 25 years. The Cowboy's FO doesn't seem to learn from their mistakes.
