Cincy is moving on since they have the 1st pick and will draft Burrow.

He will come cheap. Maybe even a 5th rd pick.

He has one year left on his contract at 17 mil.

He is 32 and fully healthy

Cincy has told him they would facilitate a trade to his liking.

He has had some very strong seasons on a team with less than stellar talent.

He played at TCU and probably likes it here .

As with all of these options it involves tagging Dak with the non-exclusive tag.

Dalton plus 2 1st's at 17 mil vs Dak at 35+ mil? NO BRAINER!

No brain at all, correct.

if he is ground chuck at best, what makes you think another team will sign him for $35m+ and also give us two 1st round picks?

I don't think they would. I think it would force Dak to sign a reasonable offer. That is the goal. But if they did I would take the 2 1sts and the cap room and look at these other options.

Yah know what, I would take 4 firsts and Mahomes over Dak any day. :muttley:

And lets sign Brady as our backup too. :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Ive actually enjoyed these Dak "option" thread, but no. Andy Dalton or Case Keenum are not options. Both of those two never have been and never will be the caliber if qbs we can win with.

How do we get the two firsts?

In a mythical fantasy land. Where Dak isn’t worth the price of an extension. But other teams will give the cowboys 2 firsts for him, and then give him that extension.

Dak will then ride a unicorn onto the field, his offensive line will be comprised of ogres and his receivers will be leprechauns.

It's not Dak vs Dalton

Dalton plus 2 1st's at 17 mil vs Dak at 35+ mil?

You may forget your troll logic from the past but I don't. Your complaint over the first 4 years was that Dak was average and not good enough to win a SB. Yet all of a sudden, Dalton is? Busted!!!

NOW your logic is based on the salary being too much. Yet for the first 4 years of Dak's career he was only making an average of 800k per year and you STILL hated him. Busted!!!

No consistency and hypocritical logic puts you into the troll category.

Wrong! I have made thousands of posts, am not a troll, don't hate Dak and hope he signs a reasonable contract that will allow us to keep our own and be active in the F. A. market.

I think some members need to take a vacation from thinking and talking about the Cowboys for the sake of their own mental health...

A look at his previous years may change your mind. Or maybe not.
