How much would it take to relinquish your Cowboys fandom?

It wouldn't take all that much. It would be hard to quit being a fan but maybe somebody made a patch or pill or something to help. Now to become a fan of say Philly or Washington, that would take a lot, a lot of money.

It won't ever be relinquished.............however if Garrett had been resigned it wouldve been diverted until Jerry passed.

I got 49 years in. It would have to be life changing amount for me.....say $80 million.

I could never watch, hear, read and discuss a Cowboys game ever again.

What's your price?

Whatever Dak gets per year. You pay me that, and I'm out.

38 years for me at this point. Nothing would prevent me being a Cowboys fan but I am losing interest in the NFL at an increasing rate annually. I guess the Cowboys die when the NFL inevitably does.

I would have come close if Jerry had brought Garrett back for another season.

Coming here to say this....Been a fan since 1975...and pretty much he made me almost hate the team and what they stood for. So it would have taken the league minimum probably at that time.

In a few years 80 million may not be what it seems to be. Our central bank and the world in general central banks are printing like crazy, but don't be worried.... Every man made currency has reverted to zero the dollar will be no different.

If I had 80 million, I’d buy everything I needed to sustain off grid—-solar, wind, water power, artesian well, fireplaces and wood burners, batteries and generators, a greenhouse for fruits and vegetables, a chicken coop, etc. The leftover I’d split up—cash, gold, silver, diamonds, oil, water, etc.

As to the OP, yeah 80 sounds good, but since we’re talking fantasy, how about a billion? Cover all the bases AND help others!

Nothing’s perfect, nothing’s forever, but...

At first I thought the OP meant what would have to happen to make me NOT be a fan anymore, and that would take the franchise moving and a drastic uniform change.

Wont ever.

Though it seems that loads on CZ will be following another team sooner or later when Dak goes.

53 years for me. I would say that nothing could take away the fandom that I developed as a kid. But for $80 million? Hells' bells I'd root for the Commanders for that kind of cash.

Throw away that ignorant Dominant 12 personell passing playbook and id at least watch the game. Im done watching sucky tes that play every passing snap and only take what the Giants and Skins let them have every year. Lol

This offense is only as good as that te core who cant score lmao Outside of the giants and the skins were losers every year statistically in every category. To all those Boyz fans who used the terminology serviceable in relation to one of our tes named Jason Geoff or James or Gavin How are yall feeling about all those Rings we didnt win with these Serviceable Tes and there 3-4 rinky dink tds during blowout games against the skins and Giants? Ha ha ha. I told yall 6 yrs ago the ROAD TO NOWHERE GOES THROUGH THESE FLATFOOTED EVERYDOWN TES WHO CANT JUMP OR SCORE

Not about money, it's about time. I spent the fewest hours with the NFL games this past season in the past 9 years and do not plan on that not continuing to decline. If the Cowboys are stinking it up, I watch something else. I sit passionless and watch them play and don't even get happy or pissed anymore. I do take some satisfaction in watching that awesome person get upset when his team loses. "His team" isn't that the message he's sent all the fans that thought it was ours?

The fact is I don't like this team, let alone love it like I used to and all the money talk is pushing me out because I am tired of it. There is not one player on this team that I really like and a handful that I dislike.

Didn't he sum it all up when he snarked "let them put up 140M of their own money and they can call the shots". That self centered egotist doesn't have a clue what it is to operate a team and make the fans feel a part of it. That was my team a hell of a lot longer than it was his and he's a classless buffoon that has set himself up as the face of the Dallas Cowboys so don't go offering me any money to walk away, that awesome person is going to do it for free.

Can't become a fan of another team, but I could get increasingly uninvested. Already have simply due to encroaching life responsibilities and disappointing annual performance, both by the team and the league.
