It’s not possible. Any team asking for a price would laugh at that and simply say “you took a year and couldn’t sign him because you obviously didn’t think he was worth as much as he and his agent did. But now you expect me to believe you feel he is worth 2 first rounders?”

You are simply kidding yourself if you believe Jerry could pull that off.
You don't know anything you've just typed...... PROVE the GM and son doesn't think he's worth it. I DARE YOU.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a team like the Chargers, Saints if Brees retires, maybe Oakland if they move on from Carr and can’t get Brady, maybe the Dolphins, don’t think He fits at TB with BA, maybe Panthers if they move on from Cam, the real interesting one would be NE if the lose Brady Bill ain’t going to over pay but would Dak go to NE for less money. If I am Dak I saw Romo’s career get wasted by Jerry and company so heck yeah I’d ask for the moon but if NE came calling I’d go cheaper.

Mass has a state income tax...that's something to consider too.

I'm going to make a brief rant here.

It's never going to happen.

If your next big trade idea or QB solution involves the concept of a franchise tag, followed by letting Dak go in exchange for two first round picks, then just stop.

This isnt about Dak love or hate. There's no way a team gives up two firsts AND agrees to a contract bigger than Dallas has offered. It will never happen. Stop telling us about how we're going to get Dalton/Bridgewater/Rivers/Brady/Aikman/Marino/Montana and also get two first round picks.

Maybe there's a tag and trade. I dont know. But we're not getting two first round picks.
Maybe.

The need for a Qb is so great, you might be surprised. JAX, DEN, CHI, SD, CAR, Indy, MIA, TB, all desperately need QB's.

Irvin88 I like Dak, always have, and I still have hope for him. But if I was any other team looking for a QB, I wouldn't even consider giving up 2 firsts for him. If I wanted to trade 2 firsts, I'd use them to trade up in the draft. But I just don't believe Dak is worth 2 first round picks, or that any team would give that much.
A team that is super bowl ready surely would. CHI would do it w/ no hesitation, but they gave up 1st round picks in trades and don't have any. INDY would.

Chicago would also be pretty interesting imo.

You guys do understand you can tag him and trade him for less than 2 firsts, right?

Probably not
You do understand he can't be traded until he signs the franchise tender right?
And if he does sign it late he can;t be extended or signed AT ALL during the season ensuring he is a free agent again.
Study last year with Clowney for reference.
Player and new team have to agree basically.
It's why Clowney was traded for a low 3rd and 2 non-starters.

What about something like a first and a third or a first and a fourth?

If Dak is better than Mahommes and if Ramsey and others can get 2 1st round picks then you're a blatant hater if you believe we can't get two firsts for Dak. Troll.

The trade compensation does not have to be 9@0 1st round picks if the non-exclusive tag is applied to Dak and he signs elsewhere as Dallas has the right to accept less. Personally, Dallas could easily accept perhaps a 1st (#12) and (2) 3rd's (#80 & #81) from Oakland in exchange for Dak. They then can sign a QB for a 2-3 year deal as a bridge while using their now (2) 1st's, 2nd, and (3) 3rd's to help rebuild the team as the o-line is getting older and the team needs to start anew.

If Dak goes to a team where they expect to win 10 or more games over the next couple of years I could see it.
