WHEN he's healthy, he's damn good TE. If you OK with Jarwin as your starter, he could be a good back-up.

JORDAN REEDTE, WASHINGTON Commanders

The Athletic's Ben Standig reports Jordan Reed has been cleared from the league's concussion protocol.
Reed's latest concussion — his seventh in as many seasons in the league — sidelined him for the entirety of the 2019 season after he took a nasty hit from Falcons safety Keanu Neal in an exhibition contest. Standig adds that while Reed himself fully expects to be released by Washington in the coming days, he's told those close to him that he intends on continuing his career and playing elsewhere next season. 30 in July, Reed's inevitable release will free up $8.5 million in cap space. The Bills are an intriguing landing spot after recently bringing in Greg Olsen, who has since put pen to paper with Seattle, for a visit.

He's going to surpass Aikman in concussions if he plays next year.
Good luck to him but he's asking for CTE symptoms early(ier) in his life continuing to play.

that's what I was thinking too.
Why doesn't he just retire ? - as his teammate Vernon Davis did.

No way i'm taking on someone with those kind of CTE scares, much less anything else with his fragile wear and tear body over the years.
He's glass. and never healthy. You'd have a better chance with fragile Hunter Henry than Jordan Reed.

An incentive based deal would be fine by me. Low cost high reward, when dude's on the field he's uncoverable. If he gets hurt again we cut him

One more hard hit might kill him. --JK
But I rather they choose a more reliable option in free agency. Richard Rodgers comes to mind.

Would not mind if he came here, but can't be counted on, so no thanks.
Need a reliable TE to be there, may as well keep Witten at that point.

He needs to do what Keuchly did and retire, take what health you have and walk away.

I get the want to play especially since he's known how to play football for over half his life, live his dream etc..
But man, he got paid, won't receive a huge contract due to his concussions and is risking getting injured again to a very important organ that controls a lot of features to say the least

If he just got cleared now, for a concussion in August, that's a huge red flag.

This is exactly the sort of player that we should avoid. Waste of a roster spot. Give me someone 70% as good and 100% available.

The 'Skins have a huge jump on cleaning their roster. Rivera hit the ground running. He's been in the cleaning mode since his family's Garage Sale that raised $30,000.

Nope. Always hurt. Commanders paid millions for a player who didn't play. I have no interest in doing the same. Missed what, an entire season due to concussion? Just retire.

No, it is low cost and likely low reward. He has never played 16 games in a season. He has missed 42% of the games in his career. He will probably get hurt again and end up on I.R., so I don't know why you would cut him in that situation.

This is a real shame because he's a great talent. I sure hope he retires as he's pushing his luck and future quality of life by continuing to play.
