what is Tua's ceiling? is it higher than Dak's? trade everything with a team that has so many holes to fill and has 6 draft picks only. I think this is a horrible idea, given that IMHO Tua is a boom or bust type QB. great college QB, that will crash in the NFL, I just don't see his game translate to the NFL and he seems more like a Marriotta than anything else.

not to mention his health risk. That hip aint no joke. Wasnt that similar issue to what Bo Jackson had?

It depends... I could see making a small jump to get him if he were to fall. The problem is that he keeps projecting to go higher and higher with every day. I like Tua a lot as a player but to me he seems like a big risk at the top of the draft for any team because of the injury. He would actually make a lot of sense at the Cowboys pick both for value and need, as the Cowboys don’t need him right away but also don’t control their own destiny at QB.

Can't say whether or not dak has reached his ceiling. But signing him becomes more problematic by the day. We need to make a serious move to solidify our qb situation. Chance favors the prepared mind.

It’s a gamble that could make us a Super Bowl champion.

You sign Dak and it’s all but over for our team.

Let the doctors look at him.. See what they say.. If they say he will make a full recovery and Detroit is willing to trade then you make the move.

I think my preference in this whole thing would be to franchise Dak and take Fromm in the 2nd. While I would trade Dak for a top 5 pick, Tua does worry me a bit and he won't be able to play this year so I am not really on board for a 1 year player like Case Keenum to fill the gap. That could very well be a wasted year.

I don't disagree with him. But the question is who do you trade with?

1. Cincy (replacing Dalton)
2. Washington (Haskins with a new coach)?
3. Detroit (needs to replace Stafford)
4. NY Giants (maybe?)
5. Miami (not happening)
6. Chargers (replacing Rivers)
7. Carolina (replacing Newton)
8. Arizona (possible)
9 Jacksonville (Is Gardner Minshew their guy?)
10. Cleveland (maybe)
It would be Detroit
Cincy is taking Burrow and Washington is taking the best player in the draft
So, Detroit, unless they want him. I've heard that if they move on from Stafford they like other QBs besides Tua.

not happening anway

They absolutely should but they will play it safe and go nowhere.

We’ll look back at this and wonder why we didn’t do it if it was at all possible.

do you realize what kind of resources it will take to get from 17 to at the very latest 5th? It might very well be 3rd pick. Too much capital. Way to much.

The only possible way and its a stretch is that Tua drops to somewhere close to our pick because of questionable medical concerns and Dak has been tagged and negotiations are going nowhere. Then and only then could Tua be a possibility because then you get leverage on Dak if he had threatened to hold out in fact if you get to that point you dont care if dak holds out

That would also have to mean that Jerry and Steven has been lying all along and they dont feel Dak is the future.

Much safet bet to see dak signed in next 3 weeks

Imagine if KC was like we don’t need Pat Mahomes.. We got Alex Smith.. We just need to bolster the entire team.
Actually a pretty good analogy right there.
Don't know what Tua's downside is....so that's the risk...but his upside is in the vicinity of Mahomes.

Moot point anyway, as we're signing Dak
