At the very least he deserves a chance..

They’re cool with trotting Witten back out there and letting him steal snaps from a player who looks clearly better.

Just give Dez a tryout. If he’s no good then release him.

If we are getting rid of Cobb, I can't think of why Dez wouldn't work in the slot. He is strong enough to fight for yards there too.
I mean yeah, Dak will need to hit him in stride, and not throw behind him... and he may even drop good passes here and there,
but... I would think he would be fine in the slot.

Yea it’s amazing what a receiver can do when the football is thrown in a reasonable spot instead of over, under or behind him.
There was little doubt in my mind why Dez looked so bad during his last couple of years. Dak can not throw the back shoulder passes, jump ball passes and Dak throws behind the WRs on slants. All of these passes was passes that got the most out of Dez’s skill set. Romo was accurate enough to get the most out of Dez, but things are different with Dackie.

yeah that wasn't impressive
Really?

I thought his acceleration and quick stop and start were just fine.

I am not sure what I was expecting but this was more than I thought he would do.

I was expecting rounded off routes and hitches in his giddy-up.

No signs of that.

Happy for him. Lots of determination there.

Thanx, Dez.

Pray we do not have to play against ya.

I am changing Dak's name to Dakup.

Seems more descriptive of his skill sets.

I think mahomes is a damn good QB but the salivating over the guy in this place has gotten ridiculous. Part of it is the dude is a surrounded by a hell of a team and a great coach. Even though i couldnt stand that tub of goo in Philly hes a remarkable coach and i was glad he got his championship and I'm glad it wasn't in philly. The passes in this thread were not all that complicated but some people would trade the farm. I think i seen 8 first rounders now I get that was a joke but those that think he could replicate that success here under Garrett is fooling themselves.

KC took the next step once the defense improved. Mahomes is a generational QB it appears but he didn't do this by himself.

LOL!!!!! Guys amazing. Point blank

Yea with Romo he became the most productive WR in franchise history but he suddenly can't play when Dak becomes the starter? People are blind when they want to be. He was thrown under the bus to protect the ginger and their golden boy QB. Of course we all know what happened when they told Dak to carry the team.

I agree.

It will probably be the Super Bowl Champions that end up signing him, for next to nothing in a contract. Yet another case where they outsmart the Cowboys.
You considered that outsmarting people? Signing Dez when in their offense all of their receivers run 4.3's?

Facts! Mahomes is the type of QB Dez needs if he's gonna have a successful comeback.

probably, that is why they have mahomes and dallas cowboys dont, their owner and gm and HC
all saw big potential in mahomes, but the jones boys and garret were like .....meh we have Dak!

Kelcy ...meh we have witten
tyreek hill ...meh we have cooper
cheap RB... meh we have elliot, we prefer the 15 mil a year RB who gets tired after a few plays
and has to take a break on 3rd and goal.
sammy watkins....meh he wants too much, we rather pay a rb and de.

lot of meh with the jones boys

Yes. They would be creative enough to incorporate the skills Dez brings.
I wouldn't put it past them....I guess it just depends on what you think of Dez. Looking at these clips....he looks slower than he was 2 years ago. I guess even he knows that which is why he suggested he play tight end.

Don't get me wrong, Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL right now. And arguably by a lot. But let's not forget he took over a team that made the playoffs 4 of the previous 5 years with a "bum" at QB in Alex Smith. So they already had a very good team, and a very good HC before he was even drafted.

So any talk about KC being ALL about Mahomes or he is worth more than two 1st Rounders is ridiculous, at best.

While I do think draft picks are severely overrated by most the fans and media, go ahead and give up just three 1st Round picks for ANY player in the NFL and good luck winning after the initial year of the trade. Let alone during the 4/5ths of a decade the team is void of any 1st Round picks.
He's definitely worth more than two 1st round draft choices.
