I think my preference in this whole thing would be to franchise Dak and take Fromm in the 2nd. While I would trade Dak for a top 5 pick, Tua does worry me a bit and he won't be able to play this year so I am not really on board for a 1 year player like Case Keenum to fill the gap. That could very well be a wasted year.

Fromm is Andy Dalton part 2.

I don’t need to see him peak to know what his overall upside is.

He’s limited.. He can be a very good player. I just don’t see a guy you can pay a ton of money to and hope that he elevates the rest of the team.

He’s always going to need a lot and it’s going to be hard to build a powerhouse around that contract.

If you put a lot of guys in an optimal situation like Dallas they will play well.. Tannehill is one of those guys.
Just like the Chargers didn't need to see Brees peak and the entire NFL didn't need to see Brady peak to know he wasn't worth drafting?

What about Tannehill? You are contradicting yourself by going with 31 year old Tannehill as the standard rather then a younger Tannehill. Obviously this past year he played above what would have been considered his ceiling. The difference is, this season was an anomaly for him, while evidence shows Dak is still growing into his role.

End of the day, all we are talking about is opinions. Both you and me. But I am armed with evidence that NFL QBs cannot be judged to have proven their peak after year 4, and you are simply going with your personal perception. I think if the perception of NFL teams is shown to be less than completely reliable, the perception of fans sitting at home have to be considered much less reliable.

He wants us to do it so he can have something to talk about. Talking about Dak isn't as sexy as talking about Tom Brady or the new guy who has the potential to be a bust.

Hating on him or not I agree we’ve saw his ceiling. He’s average when a team has a bunch of pro bowl talent. You disagree and that’s cool too.

How can you say that, "we've saw his ceiling" after four years? When did you see Romo's ceiling?

This is my take as well. I've been pretty vocal about moving on from Dak. But could it be coaching? Do you think Romo was average too? Either way, I'd still rather move on just to avoid the huge contract and sign our UFAs. Dallas would get another 5 years of rookie contract from their QB.

Just now I listened to the video. I don't know what the guy said that was so terrible. The biggest problem I see, and something Dallas has to seriously consider if they did trade up to 3. Who says the Commanders won't take Tua? Is that a guarantee?

The Commanders would know who Dallas traded up for. They're sitting at #2 with Haskins as their QB. What if they picked Tua? Where would that leave the Cowboys? The Cowboys would have to pick Herbert leaving the giants with Chase Young! An utter disaster.

Yeah, I think that dude is going to struggle. I have rooted for him at Georgia because of QB1 and my good friend is a Bulldogs fan. We went to Baton Rouge a couple years ago to see the UGA/LSU game but we were screaming for Justin Fields to come into the game he was so bad. They claim he has the best pre-snap read in college. But if people think Dak has accuracy issues wait until they see Fromm sling the ball around.

A disaster would be Washington wasting their premium pick to select a player for the sole purpose of blocking Dallas instead of picking who they wanted.

I would think the worry would be Washington trading down and allowing another team to hop Dallas and have that team select the player we wanted.

dougie shows without doubt, he should stick to basketball topics. HE CLEARLY either knows very little about Dak Presecott and the QB position, or is trying to go for shock value. DUMB COMMENT BY DOUG. Will not happen and he knows it.

I can easily see the Chargers getting Tua. I see the fit and the need. He would elevate that team to elite level in year 2. He can learn behind Tyrod Taylor for a year and when healthy, start. Just makes too much sense. I think he's a lock to go there.
