Yea with Romo he became the most productive WR in franchise history but he suddenly can't play when Dak becomes the starter? People are blind when they want to be. He was thrown under the bus to protect the ginger and their golden boy QB. Of course we all know what happened when they told Dak to carry the team.

Well according to Dez himself he blamed Garrett not Dak. But I guess if we blame Dak it will help with your agenda though right? Using a error on his part as proof he couldn't carry the team is cheap and lazy on your part. Dez and Romo won the same amount of games Dak and co. have won.Same amount of rings. Same 8-8 team. Open your eyes.

This is so true.

Dak essentially had the same team from year before that went 13-3 ,in 2016.

Just minus Zeke.

Dak could not win even though Zeke staked us to a 5-3 W-L before serving out the suspension.

The team went 9-7 the rest of the year under Dak playing with Zeke.

This should be closing the demands from Dak for his $40 mil/yr contract.

He can't win without a bunch of Pro Bowlers around him.

That right there should level the money demands to $30-$32 mil/ yr with some incentives added for good playoff appearances..

You can not pay him before he has achieved them.

If we do, the fanbase will crucify the management if that happens.

I would throw in Zeke for good measure on that deal.

I'd consider it a win to get out of Zeke's contract for a stick of gum. He's due a 13mil signing bonus in March.

Any pick on top of dumping the contract is gravy.

Why can't we have Mahommes

I’m convinced that the reason Dez is doing all these short, straight ahead “routes” is because he’s glacially slow and knows he’ll be exposed in any other type of drill

I like Dez for his competitiveness and fire and, , of course, his ability to bully smaller DBs back in the day.

Unfortunately, he never had more than four or five routes he was able to get down pat and one of those won’t be workable for him now that he can’t jump. Add to that the obvious lack of speed and he will have a real hard time getting open against anyone

At the very least he deserves a chance..

They’re cool with trotting Witten back out there and letting him steal snaps from a player who looks clearly better.

Just give Dez a tryout. If he’s no good then release him.
Aren’t these all tryouts? A bunch of them were in the practice facility at The Star. The building is full of Cowboys scouts and coaches. Hell, Jerry, Stephen and McCarthy all have offices with giant windows that look right down on the field..

probably, that is why they have mahomes and dallas cowboys dont, their owner and gm and HC
all saw big potential in mahomes, but the jones boys and garret were like .....meh we have Dak!

Kelcy ...meh we have witten
tyreek hill ...meh we have cooper
cheap RB... meh we have elliot, we prefer the 15 mil a year RB who gets tired after a few plays
and has to take a break on 3rd and goal.
sammy watkins....meh he wants too much, we rather pay a rb and de.

lot of meh with the jones boys
Nope. The reason the Chiefs got Mahomes and we didn’t is because they picked 18 spots ahead of us in the 2017 draft

I would like to see the Cowboys workout Dez to see if there is anything left in the tank. Unlike so many on this board - it wouldn’t shock me to find that there is.

And if not, thank you for your service Mr. All-time Cowboys receiving TDs champ. Well done, sir.

It would completely shock the hell out of me if he ever made another 53 in his life.

Dez should have signed with a XFL team. That is the current level of his talent, athletic ability and knowledge of route running. There is a reason no NFL team has tried to sign him.

Don't forget giving them one of their starting corners for an iffensive lineman that never played a snap for the Cowboys. That was a good one too.

I wouldn't put it past them....I guess it just depends on what you think of Dez. Looking at these clips....he looks slower than he was 2 years ago. I guess even he knows that which is why he suggested he play tight end.

I like his hands but I'm seeing nothing in terms of routes from him.
