Personally I'm sick of Dak and the contract situation . I would love to move on from Dak.

Another Dak hater named Gary. Are you related to Garyo? Hmmm...

I get it... But wasn't our offense pretty good last year?
Dak rarely has a bad game. He rarely has great games also but he seems to come in as very good on most occasions.
It was pretty good if you were a team we wouldn’t see in the playoffs outside of two games. Dak rarely has a bad game but he rarely has great games like you said. I say most of his games are average and most competent QBs could do what he does. His stats just sometimes makes it look like he did more than what he truly does. I agree with most of what you’re saying but very good on most occasions nah. I see just average on most occasions.

He was good enough to put up almost 5000 yards last season, only one yard off the franchise record with a passer rating of 99.7. When Romo passed for almost 5000 yards in 2012 he had more INT’s, fewer TD passes and a lower passer rating than Dak had last season. Dak was good enough to toss 30 TD passes in 2019 and only two QBs threw for more. He was the reason we led the NFL in offense. He carried us in some games. He passed 400 yards three times last season, missing a fourth 400 yard game by 3 yards.

He passed for a career high 463 yards against a Packers team that made it to the NFC title game and 397 yards against Minnesota who also made it to the NFC title game. With the money QBs are being paid these days several are taking up a significant percentage of their teams salary cap. You need a solid QB to have a chance to win a Super Bowl. The Cowboys aren’t going to compete for a championship with some of the QBs fans are coming up with to replace Dak.

We were 8-8 with Dak. I'm not saying Dak is not a good sometimes above average QB but team leader he is not. In my views I could care less if we sign him or not. I would take another 8-8 season while rebuilding with a new QB if I thought there would be better times ahead than keep bickering with Dak over 30 mil, 33 mil, 37 mil maybe even 40 mil. He knows they have Coop and others to resign if they want to move into the playoffs and win in the playoffs undoubtably he has his agenda and the team has theirs.

Be careful how you respond. You'll be called, "Cousin of Satan's Daughter" or worse!

But with the fans/haters I'm gaining, its time to announce my very own fan club called, "Stats are for losers, winners get trophies."

The fear mongering by the brain dead Dak slobberers is embarrassing. They always have to push this idea that we will be in some kind of QB hell for a decade if we get rid of Dak. It would be stupid on its own, but it’s especially stupid when you consider that just four years ago they did exactly that and plugged a nobody behind the offensive line and RB and were just fine. Not only is Dak replaceable, he’s the most replaceable QB in the league... but you have Dak slobberers howling like he’s some kind of unicorn.
You don’t even have to draft Tua... draft a QB in the third round, tag Dak for insurance and plug the guy in. Dak will be making his own tear-filled concession speech by week 10.

We went 8-8 straight years with Romo. Dak is the best leader we’ve had since Troy Aikman. You have to be the only fan I’ve seen that’s dogged his leadership. He’s been great at times watch the games! Fans have become more overly critical of Dak due to the money he’s going to have to be paid. Fans look for all negatives with a player who’s overly expensive and look for all the positives with a player who can be had for cheap. Look at all the positives that have been said about Case Keenum and Taysom Hill because they’ll come cheap. No player is ever that bad to some fans if they come at a bargain price.

what is Tua's ceiling? is it higher than Dak's? trade everything with a team that has so many holes to fill and has 6 draft picks only. I think this is a horrible idea, given that IMHO Tua is a boom or bust type QB. great college QB, that will crash in the NFL, I just don't see his game translate to the NFL and he seems more like a Marriotta than anything else.
Uh, Tua's celing is WAY higher than Dak's. In fact, I've been saying it all along and just heard Gottlieb say it: "Tua, right now, is a better quarterback than Dak, minus the health." Tua has been BREED to be an NFL quarterback. The man has uncanny accuracy. People say Tua's receivers were wide open. But what they fail to tell you is that the receivers were frustrated with Jalen Hurt because he never could complete passes to them. When Tua came in, he exploited coverages by fitting balls into tight windows, putting the ball where only the receivers could get it and taking advantage of open receivers. The receivers LOVED Tua. They liked Jalen too because he was a humble leader. But anyone who pays attention to the Alabama program could tell you the receivers were EXCITED when Tua took over.

Tua is going to need an offensive line. If he goes to a team who will surround him with offensive linemen and not try to draft receivers, running backs and tight end, this kid will be the next Dan Marino. He's THAT good. But if he goes to a team that puts it all on his shoulders and doesn't protect him, well, this is where his propensity to get injured will come into play.

Having said thus, it would simply cost too much to go from 17 to 3 to get him. But if it only took two 1s and a 2, I'm on that like hungry lions on a wounded gazelle.

not to mention his health risk. That hip aint no joke. Wasnt that similar issue to what Bo Jackson had?
1. Bo's injury was a result of him being Bo. Bo ran with such speed and power that the force of his run and the tackle ripped his hip unnaturally. If Bo had been a few milliseconds slower, he would have sustained such a horrific injury. I remember reading this analysis somewhere. Wish I had kept it..
2. Bo was injured back in the 90s. Medicine, surgery, knowledge and technology has come a long way since then.

Nevertheless, it's not naïve to be concerned about Tua's hip.

You can throw in Aaron Rodgers too. He had some garbage stats that you guys like to bring up. He got dominated by the 49ers in the playoffs and threw up some "garbage stats" in the end.

The Dak hype? Dak hype is a myth.
Big difference AR has a ring and just played in the CC game. If you are trying to equate the talent level of AR and Dak it's not close.

2012:
-2nd year RB Murray, 663 yards, and a bum RB F. Jones
-Excellent receivers in Austin and Dez
-OL consisted of 1st year at LT T. Smith, N. Livings, R. Cook, M. Bernadeau, and a at the time a terrible D. Free, who was also the most penalized. Free ended up rebounding after, but 2012 was a disaster of a year for him, in performance and penalties (you all remember Dak vs Falcons or Broncos, yeah expect more of the that on a weekly basis if Dak was starting in 2012)
-8-8 was good for 3rd place in a tougher division

2019:
-Probowl talent at RB
-2 Probowl talents at WR, just like Romo in 2012
-Probowl talent at 4 of the 5 OL positions
-A coaching staff with a ton more experience than the mess in 2012. Yeah we know the disaster of a HC in 2019, but it was way worse in 2012 with the lesser experienced JG.
-8-8 was good for 2nd place
-Had a very healthy roster
-Defense was much better than our 2012 counterpart despite people saying defense lost us games in 2019.

I wish people would stop comparing then and now because nothing is in favor of the current team

It’s a gamble that could make us a Super Bowl champion.

You sign Dak and it’s all but over for our team.

Let the doctors look at him.. See what they say.. If they say he will make a full recovery and Detroit is willing to trade then you make the move.

This statement made me .

Regardless both seasons were comparable. Dak and Romo passed for just over 4900 yards and both QBs ended up missing the playoffs at 8-8.
