Its posters like you , Bob, Ks and E who keep me from going completely off sometimes . Quality post! There’s a few others as well.

I have a few of my close friends who are Homers and don’t embrace my more critical nature. But then they always want to know my take on things. They don’t normally have much opinion as they basically cheer everything on. Which is fine but boring.

It's all good. I don't really have a problem with opposing opinions. I don't even disagree with them a lot of times but they just don't weigh into my personal thought process as heavily. I can discuss with anybody who is respectful of others and I actually really enjoy those kinds of discussion. It is what it is.

I admit it, sometimes I like a good cyber scuffle. I'll just lay back and watch the fur fly waiting for one to step over the line and then the fun begins. I call that my "oh yeah? So are you" time. I also try to visualize both parties reading and then typing furiously in response.

Had several like that, "this thread is about nothing" and "random thoughts" and "all about bacon" but the Off Topic Zone serves that purpose here and you can really get to know some of the posters better there. See them going through some life events and that can really curtail what Bullet is talking about here.

Posters might be coming off a little acerbic or negative but we never really know what's going on in the real important part of their life. Some people are fighting some real battles with the real world.
