Why is it so absurd? People out in the every day world take a little weed before going to work so why is so absurd that now that there won't be any suspensions for weed that some players won't do a little weed before practice or going to meetings or even games?
.
You went from medicinal use for cancer and glaucoma to heavy equipment operators to getting dui's. You were all over the place.

Yes I've been asked about all of those. If you haven't started from the beginning here's the short answers. I agree that employers have the right and so do the courts to have policies for failed drug tests and at least one of the reasons is employee safety which includes the NFL. Yes weed has medical uses and as long as the person is in a state where use for that is legaal I have no problem because they'll also need a prescription. Whether for medical or recreational use, people can get nailed for DUI.

Gee do you think when he originally took his oath when they first pinned his badge on that they let him modify the oath so HE could decide what laws are to be enforced?
.

Do you think they told him in the police academy to give out speeding tickets for 56 in a 55 mph zone? Arresting people for weed in Los Angeles before it was legalized two years ago was the same thing as a 56 mph ticket.

Gregory was a pothead "project" of Jerry's when they drafted him, and if they brought him back he'd still be a pothead project because his heart and soul is into being a pothead, not a Dallas Cowboy. He doesn't get high on football, he gets high on pot and who knows what else.
No more stupid projects Jerry, P-L-E-A-S-E!

"Randy Gregory to be Reinstated..."

Yeah, maybe. In a year. There is no reason to be talking about this guy as if he is about to be back in prime condition ready to dominate in 2020. He is only a possibility in 2021. What possessed the OP to even post this crap? I suspect it's another case of finding any reason what so ever to talk about the pro-weed agenda.

That's called DUI and those drivers also get their driver license suspended that goes with that fine just like the NFL used to do. My neighbor just 2 weeks ago got his license suspend after getting stopped and given a DUI and now has no license for 6 months.
.
.

The difference is the DUI ticket is given by police and law enforcement. The NFL is a private organization and has no legal obligation to punish players on top of what the state does.

But every employer has the right to take action for failed drug tests and has been upheld by the courts. An employer has the right to terminate if a employee steals. They don't have to but is it right not to? Also you forgot about one little thing. Oh the league still has something call personal conduct policy and yes they can suspend a player who they deem violated that policy.

Yes many people use weed for pain or other medical conditions like cancer and glaucoma but none of those people are playing a extreme contact sport. You also omitted the fact that medical studies have proven that using weed slows reflexes and affects memory both very much needed for football. Should employers that employee people that use heavy equipment stop testing for drug use that includes weed? Those policies are there for the safety of the employees. It's not being on any high horse if you understand why there are policies against using weed or why there are still laws for being Under the Influence while driving or DUI.
.

Treat it like alcohol. There. Done.

sounds to me like someone is bitter because their employer’s testing forced them to give up their weed 10 years ago....lol...

Just how exactly will football be so much better if players can't be suspended for weed when it's only legal for 7 teams that are in those states that it's not illegal to use? So you're and the league will be saying is that the league supports players that break the law in the states that most of the teams are located? Maybe then the NFLPA should also get the personal conduct policy removed and get all the money back to the player fines for those that have gotten drunk and were convicted for DWI and then suspended by the league under the personal conduct policy. Or how about the players that were suspended for breaking the law of spousal abuse? Should they get their money back? If other employers can terminate employees that fail drug test should all employers just stop their policy against the use of weed? The courts have already ruled that employers that are in the states where weed is legal can still terminate for use if it's in their written policy. I work for a company that can and does terminate for use and it's probably been 10 years since I have used because I don't want my boss suspecting that I'm using or my random test comes up and requires me to go pee in a cup and then I get fired.

You know about 10 years ago when I made the choice between working and weed, yes it bothered me a little, BUT over the years I found out something. I found out that I can survive and cope and carry on with my life without smoking weed. Even friends at that time who did smoke some and knew I worked for a company that did random testing respected the decision I made to keep working and still treated and interacted with me the same way they always had.

Much ado about nothing. I suspect that if the weed issue were resolved that he would find another reason not to be on the field.

In 2018 he played in 14 games, recording 25 combined tackles, six sacks (second on the team), and two forced fumbles. The Cowboys had a 6-0 win record in games where Gregory registered a sack.

Perhaps you call that kind of production "much ado about nothing" but I'll take as many DE's as I can that would give me that over 14 games. BTW, he's still on his rookie contract.

And how many games has he been suspended because other things were more important than football?

The NFL is not "punishing" players. That's a strange take.
