The Cowboys fanbase is well aware how their favorite team has been scarred by bad coaching. Jerry let it go on far too long.

It's difficult for some people to admit when they're wrong.

Just take a look around this forum.

After ten years, some still can't.

Even after Jerry himself has.

Nobody said "completely". But put his career trajectory on a chart and the arrow is pointing down after last year.

I'm sorry if the truth of that hurts you, but it doesn't change the fact that it's true.

For someone who won't "get on the kick Garrett wagon" and "moving on", you sure seem eager to try to defend him.

Not only this but weren’t many in the media claiming he’d be the hottest HC candidate? It’s comical looking at the tweets from early January claiming what a find he’d be. Things switch quickly around here and many discussions become forgotten

Another tactic is to try to blame others for wanting to talk about it. The terms "spilled milk" and "move along" are often used.

Or else they hide.

They know who they are.

I sure do.

They're not saying anything that hasn't been said on this forum for most of those "10 years". The Cowboys have continually been at a coaching disadvantage, and not even having close to a "steak on every plate" was enough to overcome that disadvantage. The new coaching staff has a proven track record of success in this league. Most of them have show the ability to develop championship caliber players. And not just one or two guys at a few positions, surrounded by newbies "learning on the job." (does that sound familiar to anyone?)

And like we ultimately were proven right about Garrett not being worthy of the head coaching job that was gifted to him, we will also be proven right about that coaching disadvantage that he continued to burden this team with. The improved results will be stark, and they will force even the very few remaining excuse-making holdouts to acknowledge the truth.
How many times can I like this????????

It’s Stockholm Coaching Syndrome. 10 years and people are feeling for their captor and acting like it was all good despite wasting 10 yrs of talent

I was very shocked at the hiring, and really don't comprehend the why of it. Looking at silly reasons now!!!!!!

I honestly can't figure out a single one of the Giants hiring decisions.

And I won't bother to try for a team that got rid of Tom Coughlin and then proceeded to hire Ben McAdoo, followed by Pat Shurmer. I'll leave it up to the Garrett apologists to try to talk that up as an organization that looks like they know what they're doing.

Oh, but he's a good guy and all...

In Dallas, that's more highly-valued than actually being good at the job you're paid to do. That's why we no longer win anything. It's all about the feels.

This will be useful information for me. Should Dak ever crash and burn.

Listen to Nate Newton (3 Time Superbowl Winning Guard) and Jesse Holley (Former Cowboy and Tarheel) @ 34 min mark talk about how we've been scarred by bad coaching over the last 10 years and how it affects our personal opinions as to how we build a Championship team...

who is jesse holley? and why does his opinion matter?

Just watch how they do it.

They run their mouth like they're experts and know everything and then they "post less" after they totally embarrass themselves and render everything they have to say from that point forward as meaningless and without merit. But even then, they blame it on "negativity" or anyone other than themselves. Zero personal accountability and the complete inability to ever admit that they were wrong. It's becoming a more and more common character defect.
