This is Cowboy hater code!! Over pay mediocre. Any Cowboy fan looks at team over player!
I bet that sound really nice in your mind...but in words, it really juvenile thinking.
ALL these players put themselves 1st ....go sell your 19th Century utopia somwhere else. Emmitt our greatest RB held out! Zeke too...team first..:lmao2::lmao::facepalm:

It sounds to me like they are determined to get the Dak and Amari deals done and then wheel and deal as the Jones boys do to keep whoever is willing to cut a deal. I certainly believe Cobb and Quinn fit in that category. Maliek Collins maybe a guy we keep as well.

Stephen Just clearly stated in the interview on video (that is visual and audio for us earth people) that Dak "is our guy"....

Deranged is the Word!

You thought maybe there was a chance he wasn’t?

it is time to go shopping for bargains on defense again. or try to sign some veterans to one year deals to hope that they something left.

Spend a fortune on offense, go bargain hunting on defense, wonder why we can't get over the hump. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Waiting to see the CBA has a downside too.

If future caps re going to explode, Dak’s reps are going to ask for more. They already showed this when Dallas started 3-0 and they basically upped their asking price.
Well then, finishing 8-8 and not beating a single good team should clear that up!

He isnt stupid enough to give the media anything to work with! Since they very well could move on from Dak. The fact they havent even talked since last Sept tells me Dak and his agent are being unreasonable!

Super Bowl just ended a couple of weeks ago. Saying they haven't talked since Sept is really saying much at all. The season started in Sept and it's not unusual for players to suspend contract talk contract until after the season, which was a couple of weeks ago. Stephen knows this.......not sure why he even put this out there other than getting fans riled up.

"Adds #Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence went on for months and weeks and then we got on the phone with him and it was done in 36 hours, same with Zeke. Lot of sitting and waiting."

These quotes are a bit concerning to me, shows that they have learned nothing from the Zeke & Dlaw negotiations. Putting those negotiations off hurt the cowboys, and likely didnt save the cowboys any money in doing so.

The jones pride themselves on negotiations and cap manipulation, yet they have failed more often than not over the last few years.

Stephen apparently hasn’t talked to Dak’s reps since Sept, there is nothing new to report on with Amari, and they have not spoken to Byron’s reps about his demands.

Yet— “player acquisition is a 365 day business” — according to SJ. Well— if you aren’t bothered to try and proactively make some decisions regarding your top 3 free agents— what the hell do you do all day?

The arrogance of the FO is astounding. I am not saying you cave to player demands (although he did with D Law and Zeke)... I am just saying negotiations are all about communication and respect. You have to show some respect in your actions... not just in throw-away comments to the media.

I am sure the deadline will cause some movement— I just hate the lack of proactive action and the smug approach they take towards handling these situations.

i've been pretty clear i am not a dak fan but the contract will come, he will get paid, and we will move on and when mahomes payday comes due, dak will be cheap again.

on the flip side - i do often wonder. ok, i actually just wondered it last night trying to fall asleep and thinking of ways that should do it. dak contract negotiations should have knocked me out sooner than it did, but i imagine that most of the people NOT wanting dak would likely WANT HIM if he was on another team and had the same #'s.

when #'s go in favor of players you don't like, #'s are meaning less. when you like the player, they are everything. in the end, like it or not the #'s are what guides the payday. 8-8 wasn't dak. it was a crap team that didn't give an unholy flipchit.

given we see people say bring in rivers, stafford, bridgewater and the like - how are they basing their desires in a consistent manner? rivers? ok did dak do better his first contract year? the knock on dak is he's not won THE BIG ONE.

outside grandpa brady, i don't see a QB available that has. so we're wanting to bring in qb's with lesser stats but you like them better because....??

dak is going to get paid. cooper? don't really care. he was pretty much a frustrating non factor last year and i think we can find another good WR for a lot less and keep our OL together.

I feel like all these fans who want to see Dak get paid top money are Eagles fans. They know once Dak gets paid Dallas will be weakened even more and the division is theirs because Wentz has the edge on Dak in games that matter most.

They aren't Eagle fans but the root of there fanaticism is that hes not Romo. They would not mind bankrupting the Cowboys team to its detriment as long as it solidifies Dakota role as Romos replacement. Its a self defeating obsession but as in everything, they have the right to indulge in it. Its been grade A entertainment and will continue to be even if hes signed

Of course alot of us know that any mammoth contract given to Dakota seals our fate for years, but why not make the best of it and have a grand time reminding them of the error of their ways.

Maybe if they didn't extend Elliott early and so high they could have extended Prescott by now, since he can at least play every game.

I truly believe Dak is getting franchised.

Oh, no doubt. Stephen is quoted as saying that talks have stalled.......no new offers or budging from the number. Dakota gambled and lost on himself. Hallelujah, Holla back!

NO long term deal for Prescott!
Get used to it as he had his chance and kicked 3 field-goals in Philly (Game of the year)
Beating the Giants and Skins gets you a candy bar and some TV commercials!
