A good Monday morning to you Pops and all who grace this thread. This is the last Monday in February, make it the best one.

I see all the talk about Billy Joel and must say, I am not a fan. Used to be and then he started on the mamby pamby love songs and just like Chicago, I left him in the dust. McCartney wanted to know just what's wrong with Silly Love Songs, plenty. There are too many of them, they're sappy and once Air Supply showed up, everybody else should have just stopped doing them. Love songs are covered and they're so proficient at it they needed to remind us by putting Love in all the titles. And they lied, they were not All Out of Love because they kept making those songs after that song. Air Supply was the cardigan sweater of music.

Well, I am heading to town later for adventure and thrill seeking at the car wash and HEB grocery store. My last thrill was the rather large and frightening toothless woman looking into my eyes and blowing a bubble. The rigors and tremors have subsided when I recall that but I need something to replace that. When I get bored, my mind gravitates to my last excitement and that right there tells me I need to get out more.

I sure wish I was competent enough to create and publish memes. I do look forward to all of your meme offerings - they really brighten my day.

I've started researching Medicare plans (am approaching the magical 65) and despite being relatively intelligent (admittedly, that's a self assessment) with a background in engineering and business planning, my head truly swims with the options, costs and variability. It seems that a relatively straight-forward concept - medical insurance post-retirment - has turned into something akin to a Ponzi scheme with subtitles in Martian.

We are off a little later today for Montana - a bit of site-seeing combined with viewing a few properties.

Good evening Pops and friends. It is as I feared, I'm the lone survivor of Monday. I didn't feel a shift in the "force". For those that see this in the future and don't know what I'm referring to, watch Star Wars you idjits! We lived in the good old days when many could remember the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl. You are probably dealing with Jerry Jones 127.02.6. In our time, he was busy pickling his liver with high dollar whisky. We suspected he would start dealing in robotics. I figure he thought Ahnold was the cat's meow and looks like ye old govenator. No, he wasn't attractive in our time either. Don't tell Jerry 127.02.6 though. He probably has some high dollar lasers to shoot at future dissenters. Back in our time, he just shut our website down. You may be amused to know he was paying for us to gripe about him, too. Ah, good times.

There were good people here. I hope between episodes of Star Wars you listen to Cowboy Zone on Audio Book. I knew them all before they were raptured and you'll be as shocked as I am that some of them had Heaven on speed dial. There was no doubt about others. Have fun and enjoy the wit and wisdom of Cowboy Zone.

Leon, the IP address and Runny, the Star Date was actually supposed to be 2.0 way into the future which I figured would hit many, many digits.

I hope you had a good visit with sister-in-law and niece and hope Runny had a good 3 day weekend.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who stop in and visit the thread today.

Good to be home! Good trip but always good to sleep in your own bed. Was a little tough on the drive back, white out conditions till we hit Alamosa or so but it was all good. Just a really long drive as we had to go slow.

How was everybody while I was gone?

It's hump day and I have a mountain of work! Back out next week but for work, rather then play. Headed to Maryland next week.

Morning Pops and all y'all. I am gearing up for Leap Day on Saturday and then the next weekend is Daylight Savings Time. Give an extra day one week and steal an hour the next, just can't trust these people. I hope that hour they steal is one I would have tossed and turned through and not one with an exciting dream. I have never stayed up until 2am on Sunday morning to see what happens when we spring forward and am not interested enough to start now. That damned time fairy changes the computer clocks and TV clocks but is too lazy to take care of my watch and other clocks that I have to change.

Only comment I have is that there is no point in a "Leap Day" this year as the average Joe-and-Josephine-Monday-through-Friday worker gets screwed out of the extra day of pay on their check since it falls on a Saturday. Thanks for nothing... literally.
