That is a complete mischaracterization and completely ignores Jerry's role in running him off. He won back to back Super Bowls with a team that he built from scratch. I'd figure a cowboy fan who hasn't seen the team in a super bowl in 25 years would have some appreciation for what Jimmy did for Dallas.............. Charles Haley only played 5 years in Dallas. So clearly "5 years" has nothing to do with it.
Correct. Real Cowboys fans would know and understand this.

The article said he "must" be making $80K to $100K per year. I think they assumed most sports TV persons make this range.
Jimmy is making far more than that. Though since he cut back on his time this past season, maybe it is less now.

He will eventually get in the ROH. Not sure if Jerry will do it this year or next though. Hoping it gets done this season.
He always refused expanded roles and only wanted to fly in for 1 day.
80-100k would be a pretty good salary for 20 days out of a year worth of work.

He made enough that he doesn't need any extra cash now after the Dolphins gig.
He was broke after the divorce thus the financial issues when he left Dallas if he didn't get full pay out.

No no...... the drunken comment was just the last straw. There was a lot more going on that lead up to that..........Jerry wanted control of player personnel in order to get more involved which annoyed Jimmy to no end. Its hard to blame Jimmy who paid his dues rising up the coaching ranks. Suddenly, a guy who knew very little about football was trying to do his job. Jerry's only qualification for running a football team is money. He has no talent for it. Jimmy knew it. Parcels knew it. And now there should be no debate among cowboy fans as to how Jerry has faired without a strong guiding hand at HC.
This is all completely untrue lol.

The dumb jethros believe this yes, but it is totally untrue.

Jimmy BADLY wanted out of Texas and to be back in Florida.
He manipulated Jerry to leave with his full contract.

There also no debate as to how Jimmy has done as a coach without Jerry forcing him to draft Troy Aikman and handing him Norv Turner as OC.
Jimmy was clueless on offense always.

Those 2 guys needed each other.
It wasn't one-sided.

Jerry forced Jimmy to draft troy? The guy fresh out of the oil industry........who had just handed over control of football operations to Jimmy........

You have no idea what your talking about. Go read. There are plenty of books on the subject.
