Dak wouldn't get 1/10th of the endorsement deals he gets if he wasn't the Cowboys QB.

I don't know what he is demanding, but if it is north of $35 million, he can piss off.

I think if the Cowboys could've got him for 6 or 7 years at 35 million the deal would've been done.

The problem, I believe, is Dak wants that much on a 4 year deal.

They will probably end up settling on a 5 year deal for no telling how much.

I think Dallas caves and does 5 years 38 million.

At the end of the day.. Dallas will pay Dak whatever he wants.

Dak is good for business and they'll just do the best they can to win with their marketable jersey selling QB.
If you know this, why did you start this thread? Can't come to accept the inevitable? Dak is going to be here a long time and very well paid.

Captain Obvious must've read the same article the rest of us did.
Lol. Doug Gottlieb will have his so called columnist version while Jane Slater has her Tweets on the topic starting out as, "Stephen Jones said".... oh wait. :lmao:

Good grief. Jerry’s incompetence knows no bounds.

How can the GM not be talking to his most important player who is no longer under contract?

I hope Dak holds out. He has done his part. It’s now up to the team to step up and pay the man or face the consequences.

LOL...Not even Dak can manage to get a monster deal from the worst GM in the NFL!!!
LOL.....Now, wonder why???????

P.S. Here's the good old truth.....THE TEAM ESP THE FO IS NOT SOLD ON DAK!!!!!

sign him

Don’t sign him

draft a replacement.

Just let it end already.

as long as it’s not signing a bargain basement QB

This is just another example of the Jones boys being incompetent idiots.

Stephen does not want his legacy to read like Jerry's. If he thinks dak will cost too much and hurt the team overall, he won't sign him. He'll tag him and plan for the future.

So true! They haven’t talked with Dak’s agent since September?!

Managerial incompetence at its finest. Unfortunately we are used to that.

What's interesting is how fans taking Stephen's words like the voice of God w/o hearing Dak/his agent side. Stephen says they were close and leaked that Dak and his people upped their offer after 3-0 start. As I've said many times, every story has TWO sides. We're only hearing one.

I understand but that is an assumption we do not know. We are told this number of 33 but nothing more than that.

Looking at Wilson, Goff and Wentz you see the real money that player knows is real. Again claiming it is 33 a year is great but if player is cut or released how much is that contract worth? These number are real player knows this is theirs

Wilson $65M signing bonus, $107M of total guarantees,

Goff $25,000,000 signing bonus, $110,042,682 guaranteed

Wentz $16,367,683 signing bonus, $107,970,683 guaranteed

:clap:Stephen is leaking only what he wants us to know.......we have no idea how his offers were structured.

Here’s the thing about convincing lies: They have to be believable.

This claim simply isn’t believable
It's true. He admitted it in an interview they were talking about it and played the clip on Sirius XM NFL channel. He has not spoken to dak's agent since september. I mean I guess when you really don't have to actually work to keep your job this is what happens.

I would be surprised if Dak's contract is not done before April 6th when new Head Coaches can start the off season program with team.

There isnt a problem here. The Jones are running their organization like a proper business. They offered Dak what they thought was fair for his talents and Dak and his agent scoffed at it.

Dak is a mid tier QB. I have no problem with the Jones transition tagging him if he doesn't agree to deal by start of training camp. If no deal is reached by draft time try for a mega deal trading him and draft picks to trade up for TUA.

stephen Jones is the one ‘claiming’ this.

what does he gain from unconvincing lies?

Drive that trade price up. I mean if they go out and say the opposite it wouldn’t give them any leverage. Jerry loves to gamble and it’s up to other teams to call the bluff. I mean we’ve said it here many times, “untapped potential,” top 10 QB, team built for now, win now, trading Dak will set up McCarthy for failure, etc. We will sign Dak and I believe it’s with the RFA tag. if there is a buyer who thinks the same way many on this board does, or a team wanting to be closer to now than later, maybe they give up draft picks for Dak vs a Rookie QB.

As I keep saying, watch what they do, not what they say. If they planned to sign Dak, he would have been signed in the summer of 2019. If you take the blue-tinted glasses off and look at where we are, you'll see that Dak has one year left, on the franchise tag, with a rookie behind him, then he's gone. If he won't play on the franchise tag, then he'll be traded before the summer.

Go ahead, say what you will, but anyone paying attention knows that I am right.
