Cannot like this enough, this is the point so many are missing. How many "pay the man's" have we seen? How many times have we seen players that walked, Ware and this year B. Jones, because they'd made so many poor decisions?
One guy has figured this out, just one. Do we think that he wanted to let Flowers walk? Trade Jones, Collins or Cooks? Do we think he really wanted to trade Brady away? He has a self-disciplined plan he follows and understands if he strays too far off that plan, the entire plan is at risk.
There is nothing preventing the Joneses form adopting the science of Belichick's plan, assign a top value to every position on the team. The art part, the evaluation of players and being self-disciplined to stay on the plan regardless of how much they like a player, that's the part they will struggle with and they have a lot of company with the hard part of that.
The problem with the Joneses is they can't do most of that. I do not want them to let B. Jones walk even though he's a not a picker. I do not trust them to get a suitable replacement, take a good look at the rest of that secondary. It's the same thing with QB, take a good long hard look at their history picking QB's.
