What a terrible article. Really lazy “Journalism”

Here is the tldr version of the article
  1. We shouldn’t sign Dak
  2. If we had Rodgers, Brady or Wilson the last four years we would have one a super bowl
  3. No mention of what the Boys should do after letting Dak walk. Is the implication we should start Cooper Rush?

Amazing how Rodgers or Wilson havent wont the SB in quite some time. And Brady would have never won a SB playing for Dallas with Jerry as GM and the horrid Garrett as HC.

huh?
this was not his first year to start.
he's been a Titan since 2016.
has 38 career TDs.
2016 490 yards
2017 744 yards
2018 1059 yards.

he wasnt exactly lighting it up and forcing teams to stack up to stop the run and opening things up for Marriota. Marriota just sucks, but dont make it like Henry was busting out multiple 1500 yard seasons.

To me its more about the money we wont have available because of his demands. The ability to re-sign existing players as well as obtaining needed defensive players may be hampered. Most of us agree that he can and has been a serviceable QB.....we just disagree as to the cap allotment and his worth.

Nothing personal toward Dakota; hes still the Apple in my eye
The money is a non-issue. It just goes down the road. And never stopped us before and it won’t stop us from doing what we want now. It’s just excuse. Awesome

Yes. Or should I say, the Cowboys should be willing to let Dak walk. In truth, the team should be willing to let any player walk, under certain terms. The team should never ever allow one player to drive team decisions. You just can't afford to allow this if you are running a team or really, any business. Hell, you shouldn't allow this if you are simply running your own personal life. Never ever allow anybody or anything to have that much leverage over your life. It's a very bad way to live, a worse way to manage.

Yes, the Cowboys should be prepared to allow anybody to walk if it comes down to it.

Cannot like this enough, this is the point so many are missing. How many "pay the man's" have we seen? How many times have we seen players that walked, Ware and this year B. Jones, because they'd made so many poor decisions?

One guy has figured this out, just one. Do we think that he wanted to let Flowers walk? Trade Jones, Collins or Cooks? Do we think he really wanted to trade Brady away? He has a self-disciplined plan he follows and understands if he strays too far off that plan, the entire plan is at risk.

There is nothing preventing the Joneses form adopting the science of Belichick's plan, assign a top value to every position on the team. The art part, the evaluation of players and being self-disciplined to stay on the plan regardless of how much they like a player, that's the part they will struggle with and they have a lot of company with the hard part of that.

The problem with the Joneses is they can't do most of that. I do not want them to let B. Jones walk even though he's a not a picker. I do not trust them to get a suitable replacement, take a good look at the rest of that secondary. It's the same thing with QB, take a good long hard look at their history picking QB's.

f the Dallas Cowboys are really intent on winning a Super Bowl within the next five to ten years, then they have some serious business decisions to make, and it begins at the top, with their start

If they are serious about winning the Super Bowl it begins with Jerry Jones and his front office gang.

I think what it shows above all else is how much a premier back is not a necessity in the league anymore. You can be a rushing team without the need for overpaying talent at the spot.

It's called being a GM right? Yeah, we don't seem to fully get that a lot of times but to be honest, most of our issues where this is concerned have been around QB. We've done poor contracts in the past but the ones that really got us in trouble, those seemed to be mostly QB deals IMO.

Dalton wanted out of Cincinnati , his play there was no gauge

Definitely not as bad as most people think. But he cant handle the pressure. IF you give him a clean pocket, he can be a good bus driver. But he is not a big play maker and not a great leader. And Dak is much better.

Wrong... I never said last season was his first to start... I said they simply never used him. he started his 1st 2 years and they simply didnt give him the ball.... and that is a fact.

No championship in 25 years so if they sign him, another 3 years of this drought wont be much of a big deal. In fact we may have a pretty high draft position by the time the Albatross of a contract expires. Just have to wait it out.
Only problem is the team will go all to hell with the inability to pay decent players.

I’m not hating on him at all, I’m just saying there’s context to this and he’s surrounded by a TON of talent. Are you disagreeing with that?

If you give any professional QB time in the pocket - they’ll pick you apart. Dak has had that luxury - a lot of these other guys haven’t.

well put,,,
