Exactly it’s all Speculation. But that’s my gut feeling. And that’s all anybody else is given for input. You get that don’t you
I get that but you’re stating it as if it’s a fact. Don’t you get that? its irresponsible because alot of yahoos are going to take that for gospel and there will be even more hate Dak threads.

I wasn’t referring to that but to your quote “OK now I don’t want it long term.” You don’t know that so it’s in fact a lie.
Personally I say pay him. I’m not worried about the salary cap.

The richest contract in league history is STILL not good enough? Really? Be done with this moron and move on.

The only fact I quoted was Prescott betting on himself. I believe you chose to take more into it

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/cowboys-reportedly-offer-dak-prescott-140707917.html

as always I enjoy reading the "reactions" section from fans and non-fans at the end of the article.

The only positive is that it's a short deal. Why we feel the need to pay this much for a handful of good games a season, who knows. The bar isn't set very high and even if we find a dud the drop off would very low.

Cowboys reportedly offer Dak Prescott dumbest contract in league history...

What does that last sentence mean?

I guess I need to brush up on my Forum Hood Lingo.

Run that by me slower with more English words?

Yeah but is that the actual truth. I can’t find any factual statements and what he’s actually looking for. One year I’m betting on my cell before I get paid. And then someone saying they offer the money but he doesn’t like the length. I wish we had actual factual quotes. But my opinion give him what he wants I don’t see an alternative. And I’m not settling because I like the kid. Put them in the right scheme. And fix special teams so he doesn’t have to travel three extra yards every drive

My gut feeling tells me he doesn’t want to be a cowboy. First it’s the money. And then it’s the length of contract . If the statement is true. Then something else is wrong

Could be true but SOMETHING is delaying it to the point of ridiculousness

All the signs tell me Prescott doesn’t wanna be a cowboy for his entire career. I don’t think it’s about the money because he would’ve held out last season. I’m at the point to see Time to find a replacement
I am not excited to think Dak is not playing with a full deck with us.

If he wants out before his mega contract is even signed..

Good day Mr. Prescott.

It's been real.

Literally the first 11 words of the article.

Clickbait at it's finest!

Thanks Florio.
I havent read the rest of the replies, im going to stop at yours. Lol I can tell by the few I read that people just read the headline without reading the article. This is Mike trying to get clicks. If people would actually read the article they would see hes saying the 33m would be the richest because all other players got their with 1 year left on the deal and that brings the overall AAV down. But we all know thats not how contracts are read, they are read by new money. Including the 1 left on current deals is just a way to make the contract look cheaper than what is. Not saying it doenst help because it does. But Wilson AAV is 35m not 31m because he had a yr left on his deal. Its just Mike being Mike.

Lol. He is likely as good as signed. They will wait to make that JJ splash.

That's what it's beginning to look like. He's will to stay if he's way overpayed but it's not where he really wants to be.

Even if he signed to I won't look at him the same way as I did before. I thought his character was higher than what it's proving to be.

Actually the blood pressure is rising on his apologists. The deadline is looming and they struggle to comprehend that the FO is having reservations on signing him to this team killing contract

Us critics are merely sitting back just watching the show unfold.

Wait till he has to actually earn that money.........than the fun will really start

It's also amusing that the vast majority of the commenters on that article also believe Dak is average at best. Dak's bubble of ridiculous fandom starts and stops on cowboys boards.

If this is true and he has been offered the NFL's richest contract in history and he turns it down. Then I'm done with him. I'd rather take my chances with Rush and White.
1. He's not the best player in the league. He's not even the best player on the team.
2. He's not the best QB in the league, he's not even the best QB in our division.
3. If being offered the richest contract in NFL history doesn't stroke your ego enough then I don't want you on the team.

I'd rather go 1-16 with Rush and be able to draft someone next year then go 8-8 with the NFL'S highest paid player ever.

I've been a Dak supporter, I've defended him but enough is enough. His play hasn't earned him to be the highest paid player in the NFL.so he shouldn't be turning contracts down that would make him the highest paid player in history.
