Anyone interested in Marcus Mariota?

Have to give Mariota credit that game. It’s also the game LVE folded him in half like Avril did to Romo and Mariota popped right back up.
I agree. It’s funny that several QBs who sucked all year had their career or season games vs our pathetic defense this season.

I would take several bums like keenum over Mariota. Those guys are journeymen QBs, but most of them have proven they can pass the ball. Mariota has struggle passing all year. He’s still playing like rookie who looks at the first read and runs.

I need to see who all is available first.

Mariota could be alright if he isn't taking much. There would be a little drop off from Dak but I don't think it would show up in our record.
Mariota would not work.

His injuries seem to have altered his skills.

He is not going to want to run much which takes the RPO out of the playbook.

Sort of iffy to me. A pocket passer I don't see him doing either.

He is a tweeter now. The kiss of death.

QBs need a rep that preceeds them to be effective. Not sure what Mariota is anymore

So let’s say this Dak situation just goes completely side ways and we gotta bring someone in. Anyone thing Mariota might be able to do similar things with the cowboys cast? Maybe a new chapter in his book could turn him around. I’d be more for that than say Keenum, Winston etc.

Dak isn't going anywhere. That is a certainty.

The thing that bothers me is that Dak didn't perform so well against winning teams last year and couldn't drive us to a TD against an Eagles defense composed of players picked off the scrap heap. Everything now is open to interpretation with a new coaching staff and most likely a new offensive scheme. I'm not averse to Marcus Mariota for a much lower price. I'd rather spend on building a superior defense because it will give your offense more opportunities to score. End the nonsense, tag Dak and draft the best available QB in the draft.

Some people spent 4 years complaining about Dak but want to go to bat for Mariota? Makes zero sense and money is definitely not the concern because they hated Dak at a 4th round rookie cost.

Nice backup but too expensive. He’s also made of glass.

And to think I saw the title of this thread and truly thought the OP would be talking about Mariota as a high paid back up..........

Unlike the Romo years, I like competition. Therefore, sign Dak as your starter. Then, sign Mariota or trade for RGIII as back ups for competition. You can take a 5th rounder and challenge Cooper Rush.

Cream rises to the top.

He got replaced by Tannahill...... enough said.

Yup... and look what a change of scenery did for Tannahil.

I'd take Mariotta as a back up in a heart beat. I wanted him coming out of college... Oregon, i believe.

Do you have the count on the All-Pros that Dak needs to put up his garbage time numbers? Then compare that to Mariota and get back with me. Good night, troll.
Same amount of All Pro's actually

And one of them is Frederick, who missed all of 2018, and didnt play near an All Pro level in 2019

Yeah, no, try again. Lying isn’t funny.

Ok Dak has one more if we counting Witten.

All Pro's on the Titans offense.

Jake Conklin, Taylor Lewin, Roger Safford, Derrick Henry.

All Pro's on the Cowboys offense.

Tyron Smith, Zach Martin, Travis Frederick, Ezekiel Elliott, Jason Witten

lol... what good does Witten count when he hasn’t been that level of a player in a decade? I’m talking turning in an All-Pro season while you are actually playing with the QB? Count it up again, Einstein.

You do realize that not counting Witten evens it out right? You just hurt your own argument.

So now that you graciously decided to move goalposts in my favor. Its 4 to 4 lol
