I'd take Bridgewater over Mariota. Mariota's tentative passing put a hard, low ceiling on Tennessee's passing game, also putting a drag on its run heavy approach. It's inexplicable that his athleticism didn't have a bigger, more consistent impact. He'd do the same w/Dallas.

Mariota needs a change of scenery with a second chance tailored more to his strengths, possibly coming as a backup, not a starter.

I didn't think you had reasonable comeback from my inconvenient fact. Running to personal insults is an admission that you lost.

Besides he's far from my hero. He's ok. Slightly above average. And when he gets elite money, it's going to be a real problem. I'd prefer keeping him on a franchise tag myself.

I just don't take it to an absolute extreme like you (and others) do. This idea that Stephen Hawking, even dead, is a better QB than Dak is laughable, if downright pathetic

Mariota makes sense as a backup b/c you don't have to change the playbook.

He's not an NFL starter, at this point, though.

I think Mariota presents a teriffic reclamation project for the right offensive/quarterback coach. It didn't surprise me in the least to see that Gruden and the Raiders are interested in Mariota.

I could see the same for McCarthy, but I certainly do not expect the Cowboys to have any interest. I think they're wrong, but the team appears to not even be considering options other than signing Prescott long term. It's a mistake not to investigate every potential option available to you.
