It's a non guaranteed contract. He knows Moore's playbook. It's peanuts to bring him into camp to push a rookie.

If he sucks, then he gets cut with no dead cap hit.

Yet, some will still complain.

Dallas does not have any other viable backups on the roster. Just because Rush has been tendered does not mean he makes the team.
