"Significantly" is not a number. Front offices need an actual number to work with. $10 million is not a big increase. Even $20 million is not that big if you are the Cowboys.
The other thing, is, if the CAP goes up $40 million and players like Dak wind up getting $10 million more now then the increase doesn't help. It only helps if they sign Dak to a contract that does not take a chunk out of the increase. But, Dak is holding up the Cowboys from signing other players. They should franchise him and lock in the additional cap space to sign Byron Jones and a few of their other key players.
