I still believe the teams with the most cap space (MIA, IND, TB) this offseason would definitely bite on giving up that $40mill plus giving up draft pieces in order to get an 'established' QB. However, the Boys being able to navigate that seamlessly and drafting and/or signing a replacement QB in the meanwhile is my main concern. Dak or Bridgewater/2 first rounders (one being Tua)? If that's feasible, would the Boys be better or worse? That would be best case scenario of course if a trade could happen. I don't see that happening.

Yeah, I don't think Mia or TB would be better off. Indy might be because they have the tools on board to make Dak successful but then again, if they sign up for 40 a year for only three years and are back at the table in two with a price tag of 50, then maybe they don't keep those tools for long, IDK.

The Cowboys are perfectly suited to transition now. They have a strong team Offensively and they have pieces Defensively. They have a new Coaching Staff so I think it's reasonable to believe that if they could bring in a Keenun or a Carr or maybe a Bridgewater, they could make that situation successful with the pieces they have around the QB. Figure on a guy like Fromm, not Tua, take the picks that would come in a trade for Dak and put them to work on the Defensive side of the ball, take the saved cap and add good players in areas of need and you have yourself a team that can win the division for awhile IMO. You might have a team that can challenge for a championship. Fromm is going to be a good NFL QB in the right situation IMO. Bring him along, don't feed him to the wolves, develop him and let the Coaching Staff do their thing with the tools in the bag. Yeah, I don't hate that idea at all, TBH.

Even if this is true, it's part of Dak's team's negotiation to force the Cowboys to meet them halfway between the Cowboys offer ($33 mil/yr) and Dak's demand ($40 mil/yr). They will likely settle halfway around $36 - $37 mil/year, thus making Dak the highest paid QB in the league until Mahomes and Watson reset the record later this season with their upcoming new contracts.

Sigh...

FFS, Dak has won a grand total of one playoff game and he wants to be treated like a Brees, Brady, Rodgers or Mahomes. I hate the NFL sometimes.

Getting two first round picks for Dak would be the dream at this point. Sad part is that Dak is one of Jerruhs boys. We will overpay for a guy who has accomplished nothing. Like we always do. Then we will go 8-8 and wonder why.

#BreakingNews: Dak Prescott and Agent Todd France have issued a counter-offer. The latest demand from Dak Prescott is a four year deal, worth $160 million dollars, with unknown guarantees. Prescott's demands are still holding steady around $40 million per year.

Can you imagine? Give him that... Then in 4 years we have 1 or 2 playoff wins.

Jerry has got this team coming up on 25 year anniversary of SBXXX win.

you can call it 27 years really. When jimmy was kicked to curb... because Jerry sold his soul for SBXXX win.

he can’t un-sell. Avengers: Infinity Stones rules.
