Amen, Brother. They want to lock in and overpay guys who are average, soft, or just care about cashing checks. Yah, I said it...and that includes Zeke, Dak, and Cooper....These are not the triplets you want.

Sure, except for Prescott being the biggest salary bargain in the NFL at QB for the last four years, Dak only cared about cashing checks.

Except for his entire career proving the opposite of that, its a great point.

We should’ve drafted Jalen Ramsey over Zeke. RBs are significantly easier to find and replace. Both players can be considered “special” but everyone knows it’s harder to find a “special” CB than it is to find a special RB.

that year we could’ve grabbed Derrick Henry I the second. I know this has been brought up here before but I had to mention it because it’s another example of our poor decision making.

We paid Zeke 2 years early as well as Jaylon Smith. Why??
Why not hold off on paying zeke, if he sits he sits. We’ve been investing in Oline for several years now. Draft or trade for a cheap alternative to Zeke until you’re ready to pay him. Prioritize QB first

we just paid to extend cooper rush. Something like $2 million. We could’ve added that $2 mill to what Dak is asking for and then drafted a backup QB. We could then pay Amari and franchise Byron.

this would keep all of our core players and allow us to build thru the draft. But instead we are now losing our best CB (for nothing in return), allowing Daks asking price to continue to rise, and we’re paying Amari because we had too.

seems like everything we’re doing is assbackwards

I can't believe your bored enough to complain about a backup making 2 million. There are much bigger issues and needs to address in FA and the Draft then worrying about paying Rush 2 million.

Yah, Dak is showing us how he doesn’t care about checks or money, right ? He and his greedy team won’t even answer the phone. 40 mill...pfft....Sorry you got Dak Butt Hurt.

I would’ve never drafted him in the 1st place. Ramsey was the pick. Could take an RB every 3-4 years and he’d get 1200-1500 yards behind our line.

That's the truth of it, and why I wasn't a fan of drafting Elliott in the first place. No knock on the player, but the plan was (and mentioned when they let Murray walk) that because so much was invested in the offensive line, you could proceed at a discount at the running back position and find cheaper alternatives.

Since they let Murray go, they've actually done exactly the opposite.
  1. They used the highest draft pick they've have in decades on the position
  2. They've continued to invest both huge money and further significant draft resources in both offensive line and running back
  3. They've caved in and paid that #4 overall running back two years earlier than they had to.
  4. They've continued to see diminishing returns from all of those investments

Sorry you got Entire Franchise Butt Hurt but you have no clue what the negotiations are. And we know for certain that Dak never held out when he was dramatically underpaid.

But keep trying, one of these days you will get something right.

Are you cheering on this off-season?
And what better place to “whine” than a cowboys forum on the Internet? Lol

No, you'll now receive a lecture in telling you exactly how you should feel. That's the other swing of this all too familiar pendulum.

Maybe it's more accurately disagreeing with their choices? That's permitted, right?

Seeing that it happens every year at this time I think that it is more than obvious that it is permitted.
What is also permitted is the whining about the whining. :D

The titans are head and shoulders above the cowboys. That’s in every aspect of the organization.

I am cheering it on, because we have an entire new coaching staff (except for a few which I am ok with) We have a lot of cap space.

What I was referring to, was the same old we should have drafted this player or that player, we gave this player too much $$$ we could have done this.
I just do not see the point of it.

They need to cut Crawford, but I doubt they do. I wanted him gone years ago, but they didn't so I pulled for him to play great, but he didn't. But I am not going to whine constantly about the same old stuff.

No, I wasn't inferring whether it was 'site permitted' at all. Just the never-ending futility of one person telling another how they should think or feel. And 'proper' from 'improper'.

What is also permitted is the whining about the whining. :D

On an unrelated note...the old quincy image still manages to crack me up...whether it is with Wade or Jason's head on it or not, but those are even funnier because nobody bothers photoshopping the hands to match

The failures from the flawed Garrett Era where they wanted to copy the 90s teams by building a great OL with a great RB. Only problem is that Garrett couldn't coach worth a damn so it required investing high draft picks on those positions and then eventually paying them top money at those positions.

We paid our LB 2 years early then couldn’t re-sign our CB after 5 years.
Used a first on Amari and he’s going to free agency now SMH
