We rarely spend big in free agency. We always say we prefer to pay our own. But now we don’t wanna pay our own. So which is it?

And so often our own just is not that good. I am all for paying your own. But not just for the sake of doing it. They need to be talented.

Most teams that have won it all in the past have made free agency moves and trades. They do not rely just on home grown. When is the last big free agency move we have made? I can't think of any. It needs to be a balance between the two. Free agency is very useful but we don't utilize it at all.

We should’ve drafted Jalen Ramsey over Zeke. RBs are significantly easier to find and replace. Both players can be considered “special” but everyone knows it’s harder to find a “special” CB than it is to find a special RB.

that year we could’ve grabbed Derrick Henry I the second. I know this has been brought up here before but I had to mention it because it’s another example of our poor decision making.

We paid Zeke 2 years early as well as Jaylon Smith. Why??
Why not hold off on paying zeke, if he sits he sits. We’ve been investing in Oline for several years now. Draft or trade for a cheap alternative to Zeke until you’re ready to pay him. Prioritize QB first

we just paid to extend cooper rush. Something like $2 million. We could’ve added that $2 mill to what Dak is asking for and then drafted a backup QB. We could then pay Amari and franchise Byron.

this would keep all of our core players and allow us to build thru the draft. But instead we are now losing our best CB (for nothing in return), allowing Daks asking price to continue to rise, and we’re paying Amari because we had too.

seems like everything we’re doing is assbackwards
Maybe the title should what did we do instead of what are we doing since you can’t change history

You mean the one that says this?

March 18

The 2020 league year and free agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time.

I know you aren't this stupid. No wait, you really are.

You're the one that is brain dead...so sad
Don't blame me if you can't comprehend what is going on all over the NFL right now.
Here's another big clue for you, but I doubt it will help....

Again good luck to you.

This is the text of the link you just posted, clown show:

Teams are negotiating with free agents, and they're already striking deals to re-sign players -- and make trades -- while rumors are flowing on all the latest news across the league.

You are really dense man!

What does the first sentence say in article of that link? You know, the one you conveniently left out buffoon. Shall I help you again....

"The NFL offseason is in full swing, and 2020 NFL free agency is off and running."

You can read.... can't you???

Once we lose Dak in 2021, you'll be thanking your lucky stars we have EzE.

Taking Zeke and paying him 2 years early was dumb. But that is only the RB position.

Firing Garrett and hiring McCarthy is a big win. All the cap space we have is incredible. Not really sure what there is to complain about at this point, other then Zeke. And the reality is, that he is still a great player. We just overpaid him.

Amen, Brother. They want to lock in and overpay guys who are average, soft, or just care about cashing checks. Yah, I said it...and that includes Zeke, Dak, and Cooper....These are not the triplets you want.

The triplets wouldn't have done anything without the coaching and other players around them. That Oline and defense were all top notch.

Easy. Our own turn into prim a Donna's wanting an astronomical amount of money to be the highest paid player at their position. Has nothing to do with not wanting to pay our own.

It's about being able to afford what these greedy players asking price is. Through a fans eyes everything looks easy, but in reality, it simply isn't.

Most of us said it when the talk of Garrett getting canned started--this teams biggest issue is the GM (or lacktherof). They have absolutely no clue how to negotiate or get the right guys for their schemes. Don't expect this year's FA to be any different than what we've grown accustomed to. They'll make a run at the third tier guys while banking on their ability to draft well (or lacktherof once again).

Anyone over Captain Cabo but Ramsey. He is as much of a headache. Both are talented players that teams should avoid.

greedy players? They have a short window to earn as much as they possibly can, they play one of the most physical sports, in the only league that doesn’t have fully guaranteed contracts, they’re doing business with billionaires who specialize in maximizing profits at every turn possible and who don’t have the stress of worrying about getting injured and losing the fortune they’ve worked their entire lives to build. Yeah, those damn greedy players. How dare they........

He's trolling at this point.

Because no one really thinks that there is some sort of magical deadline here on Wed at 4PM. FA has basically started. That Wed deadline is just a time when deals can be officially approved. Whether before or after that Wed deadline, teams can negotiate with FAs and their previous team can match or not match.

I tried to explain that negotiations have already started back in post #53, but apparently the legal tampering period went over his head and scrambled his brain. He seems to think we're currently in some kind of pre-free agency period and not real free agency, and teams are only getting ready and just practicing for the real thing on Wednesday. You know, like preseason games get the players ready for the regular season games.

No idea why fans do this every year during fa. Dallas doesn't really use fa much at all.
