Sorry, that's just the way it goes. Look at those professional contracts handed out in 2008 or 2002. When the economy is going south, you take what you can get.

Why do you think they rushed to sign the CBA so soon? I'm hoping this crises is over by the time we get to the NFL session, but that's not a given at this point.
