?? Cooper was getting doubled/ shadowed the whole game

so it's now it's gone from he was hurt ..to he was doubled entire game - which is not true, just as it is when he goes vs those other upper CBs,

so what's next ? ...... " not enough home games vs on the Road ? " .... " well it was raining pretty bad to get his footing ? " ... " Dak just cant get him the ball ? "

seems several will keep making excuses up for him, .....but no one makes him accountable for needing to step up and being an elite lead dog WR.

Still have the same management and coaching staff that got that Super Bowl. They're better.

Lol here we go.

They won a super bowl. Yes.

They won the division by a game last year. Yes.

Pretty equal on the mediocre scale. But hey, if you want to pound your chest and deem them better that’s fine. But both are around 500 teams right now and could’ve swung one way or the other for the division. Been a different squad without Reich.

Check that again. Specifically that 'coaching staff' part. Oh and the quarterback that actually won them that Super Bowl.

I believe Slay is now getting paid a smidge more per year average than Byron Jones.

So, there's that..

Winning a Super Bowl is not "mediocre". Again, their coaching staff has a Super Bowl recently. We have McCarthy who got his a decade ago and yet to be seen what he has left in the tank.

They got to the playoffs with 50% of their starters on IR, we got to 8-8 with a "talented roster". They're better until proven otherwise.

We’re talking last year into this year?

I claimed they are mediocre, similar to us NOW. Nobody claimed they were mediocre when they won the Super Bowl. They got into the playoffs because they played in the worst division last season. 9-7 doesn’t win any other division. Which one again, could’ve swung either way in Philly.

If it makes you feel better to say Philly is better, that’s cool. Everyone has their own opinion and allowed that

Just simply stating both teams have work to do to get to the next step.

I love this. No linebackers, no secondary, no wide receivers... good job Eagles!
We’re not that much different. IMOF, take Coop (who disappears in half of the games) out of the equation and it sounds exactly like the Cowboys. At least they got a good corner instead of letting one walk.

Again: Last year with their team on IR, they managed to have a winning record and make the playoffs while we went 8-8 with most of our guys healthy.

They got by because they have a great coach. They're better.

Slay has been injured 3 of the last 4 seasons. He is a good CB, and will help the Eagles defense. But I still think their DL is what makes that defense strong. They have Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave i the middle now. They never let that DL get soft.

Adam Schefter just reported that the Eagles traded a 2020 3rd and 5th round draft choices for him. Slay signed a 3 year $50 million with $30 million guaranteed. I say the the Lions got fleeced. Thought he would garner at least a 2nd.

Not when you then have to pay a 29-year Old corner at the very top of the market they didn't. They gave up their 3rd and 5th round picks to then pay Slay more than Byron Jones contract.
